The Pale Heart has alot to discover inDestiny 2, and you may have noticed astep in the Final Shape triumphthat requires you to destroy all Paracausal Geometries to get The First Knife exotic ship. These Paracausal Geometries can be found all around the destination, but it can be challenging to figure out how to destroy them all if you don’t know what you’re looking for.
The first thing you need to do is complete the Alone in the Dark questline inDestiny 2multiple times. This quest is repeatable, and each time you complete it, you’ll get a new Paranormal Activity event you can track on the map. This is what leads you to the cubes, or the Paracausal Geometries, that you need to destroy in order to get the achievement.
How To Destroy All Paracausal Geometries
There are a total of11 Paracausal Geometriesto find in the Pale Heart destination, which means thatyou’ll need to complete Alone in the Dark11 times to get them all. As you complete the quests, you’ll be able to track the Paranormal Activity events that spawn once they’re complete. This is the easiest way to find the direction you’re meant to go in to find the cubes you need to shoot.
Once you’ve done the quests you need, follow the quest marker until you see a small, glowing orb in the middle of the circle on the ground. If you approach this orb, it will give you the chance to commune with it. Do so, and you’ll gain theAura of Balancebuff, which allows you to then destroy the red and blue cubes.
You need to then stand in a position where you can see both cubes at the same time to destroy them. Once you hit one, a circle will appear under your feet that you need to stay inside while shooting the other.
If you move outside this circle, destroying the cubes won’t trigger, and you won’t get the triumph.
Where To Find All Paracausal Geometries
You can find a set of Paracausal Geometries in most areas in the Pale Heart, starting with The Transgression. The Paranormal Activity events appear in a certain order, and sometimes you’ll need to go throughLost Sectorsto find them. You won’t get them as quests in your log, so to track them, you need to click on them in thePale Heart Destination map.
The Transgression
The Transgression Paranormal Activity inDestiny 2will take you deep into the region to a room with a small structure in the middle. You can find theCommune pointon top of this structure. Once you’ve interacted with it, drop to the floor again and look for the red cube between some pillars.
Stand right next to the red cube and shoot it with Darkness damage, then look for the blue cube across the room. It should be underneath the structure where you found the Commune point.Shoot the blue cubewhile staying in the circle spawned after shooting the red, and you’ve unlocked your first Paracausal Geometry.
The Blooming
Travel to the South West section of the Blooming inDestiny 2to find the next Commune point, which is hiding on a small ledgenext to the large rock pillarin this area. If you get lost, just ensure totrack the Paranormal Activityand follow the quest marker.
Once you’ve got the buff, continue up past the Commune point and turn left. Go forward a bit, and you’ll immediately see the blue cube in front of you. Stand right next to it, then look across the valley to spot the red cube behind a large rock.
The Impasse
Travel to the landing zone in the Impasse and look for a big pyramid-like structure just ahead of you when you land. The Commune point is on a small raised surfacejust next to this building, but you need to go a ways away from it to get the Paracausal Geometry in this area.
Once you’ve interacted with the Commune point, head to the second large structure on the left side of the pyramid. You may recognize it from when you were collectingVisions of the Traveler. You need to stand on the far-side wall next to the massive drop, and you’ll be able to spot the blue cube underneath the entrance to the Transgression. The red cube is hanging just above where the Commune point was.
The Lost City
To get to the Lost City, head towardMicah-10and turn right. Drop down and follow the path until you reach the doorway that leads into the area, and the Commune point is right outside.
Now, you need to look for a statue that was just ahead of the Commune point. Climb up this structure until you can see the blue cube that’s hiding on top of the roof of the building you just came from. The red cube can also be seen from this point to the right, below the large building on your right.
The Lost City Outskirts
From where you destroyed the last pair of Paracausal Geometries in the Lost City, start going back to the area where you firststarted the Final Shape campaign. Look for the Commune point in acourtyard with a large tree.
Stay inside the courtyard, and turn around to face the tree. Move up the stairs and toward the left side of the courtyard until you cansee the blue cube through a gated openingon this side. You can stand here and see the red cube on the other side of the tree as well, claiming your fifth Paracausal Geometry.
The Seclusion
You’ll find your next pair of cubes quite far into the Seclusion,in the caverns that have upside-down trees and waterfalls. You can find the Commune point just as you enter this room, and you should be able to plainly see the blue cube inside as well.
The red cube, however, is hiding underneath a rock pillar on the side of the room. If you jump to the platform underneath the blue cube, you should be able to see the rock pillar. Jump to the platform next to the pillar, and you’ll have a plain view of both cubes to take them down.
The Landing
Travel to the landing zone in The Landing and look for thetall blue building near the waterfallin this area. The Commune point is near a large tree root on the other side of this building. Once you’ve activated it, climb on this tree root and stop about in the middle.
you’re able to see the blue cube clearly near thebronze statuenear the blue building, but you’ll have to jump to clearly shoot the red cube, which is lying underneath the waterfall. Just time your shot properly to get the Paracausal Geometry done in this area.
The Forgotten Deep
The Forgotten Deep is a Lost Sector in The Landing, which contains the next Paracausal Geometry you need to find. To get through the Lost Sector, you’ll have to periodically spawn Hive to get past some crystals that you can only break after killing the enemies.
You can find the Commune point in thethird room of this Lost Sector, near a large statue. Once you’ve activated it, look for a small platform near the exit of the room. Climb up to one of the vents on this platform and look for the red cube under the building on your right. The blue cube is on the far side of the room, just above a trellis-type structure.
The Blooming Deep
The next Paracausal Geometry can also be found in another Lost Sector — the Blooming Deep — in the Blooming. Head through the Lost Sector until you reach apool of Transcendence. You should have passed the blue cube already, but don’t stop there.
The Commune point is just ahead, and once you activate it, backtrack to the pool of Transcendence. Here, you can stand in the middle of the little ledge and spot both the blue and red cubes at the same time.
The Divide
Once you reach the Divide, you can find the Commune point under an arch in the area the quest marker leads you to. Now, though, you’re going to need to travel a bit before you can find and shoot both cubes. Look for another archway next to the cave you come out of to reach this area, and head up until you see abroken plane.
Stand on the nose of the plane, and you’ll see the red cube inside when you turn around. The blue cube, which you may have spotted near the Commune point, can be seen if you look down from the nose tip.
The Refraction
You can find the Commune point in the Refraction justwest of where Ikora crashes her shipin the Pale Heart. Once you’ve activated the point, climb up to the rocky outcrop above the ship. You can get there by climbing some of the larger tree branches nearby.
When you reach the rock, look straight ahead and slightly to the left to spot the red cube. The blue cube can be seen when you look down toward the river flowing in this area. If you struggle to see it, move around a bit, because it may be hiding behind some leaves.
Once you’ve found all the Paracausal Geometries, you’ll unlockThe First Knife, a stylish Exotic ship.
