Dynamo Build Guide (Ability & Item Progression) In Deadlock
Dynamo can be played in two ways. You either take on asupport role, focusing on the hero’s crowd control abilities and healing to keep your allies healthy —or you go for damage. If you’re unsure about your team’s ability to win the game, it’s best to focus on your damage first. Dynamo canbecome extremely tankythanks to his Rejuvenating Aurora. It’s one of thebest heals inDeadlockright now, and at maximum level, you also get to use your other abilities and weapons when the ability is active. As for your source of damage, we’ll build around the ability of Kinetic Pulse.
Dynamo Ability Progression
You’ll want tounlock Kinetic Pulse firstwhen you get to the lane. An early point in this ability will let you clear waves of enemy mobs. It also gives you a decent CC to punish your lane opponent if they decide to overextend.
After that, you’ll want to unlock Rejuvenating Aurora. If you’re laning with a partner, this ability will help keep both of you healthy. When used in the right situation, the healing from this ability will help you win any trades with your opponent duo. You’ll want tomax out this ability first, but make sure you unlock your other abilities first.
Unlock Quantum Entanglement next andget Singularity as soon as you hit 3k Souls. With Singularity unlocked, you’ll be able to kill almost any hero on the map if you’ve got an ally with you.
After unlocking all your abilities, you’ll want to save your AP to push Rejuvenating Aurora to the max level. After that, invest three AP into Kinetic Pulse and three into Quantum Entanglement to get them both to level two. Then, max out both abilities before you start putting points into Singularity.
you may skip over putting points into Quantum Entanglement if you want to focus more on leveling up your ultimate. But, since Quantum Entanglement can also be used to save allies, and the cooldown is so low, it’ll pay off more in the long run.
Dynamo Item Progression In Early, Mid, And Late Game
With the right Weapon items, Dynamo can 1v1 almostall heroes inDeadlock. His Kinetic Pulse at level two increases Dynamo’s weapon damage by 30% on the enemy hit by it for eight seconds. This ability’s damage and stomp range also scales well with Spirit. But, since his other abilities don’t benefit much from Spirit, this build doesn’t invest too heavily into Spirit items.
Early Game Item Progression For Dynamo
For thelaning stage, you’ll want to build Basic Magazine, Close Quarters, and Headshot Boosteras your first three items. Focus on last hitting enemy Troopers tobuild up your Soulsquickly. Once you have these three items, you’ll notice a nice boost in your damage output, which you can use to start harassing and pressuring your lane opponents.
Dynamo’s Kinetic Pulse has a long cooldown. With Extra Charge, you’ll be able to use it twice with a 5-second cooldown between charges. This makes it easier for you to lock down enemy heroes and take them down. Mystic Burst, in combination with Kinetic Pulse, also deals a decent bit of burst damage early on in the game. Finally, pick up Sprint Boots for that extra movement speed whenever you get the chance.
Mid-Game Item Progression For Dynamo
Warp Stone is pretty much a core item on Dynamo. It lets you teleport a short distance forward, which can come in handy when you’re trying to position yourself in a fight. In combination with Quantum Entanglement, you’re essentially getting two teleports to weave in and out of fights and get in position to get off a nice Singularity.
You’ll also want to upgrade your Sprint Boots and get a Combat Barrier. This extra bit of defense and movement speed always helps Dynamo. Bullet Shredder Resist further increases your damage output. Finally, you’ll need to choose between Spirit Armor and Bullet Armor. Ideally, you don’t want to pick up both of them. If the enemy has a lot of Spirit Damage, go with Spirit Armor. Otherwise, Bullet Armor is a better choice.
Late Game Item Progression For Dynamo
Glass Cannon is an essential late-game itemthat you’ll want to pick up on this hero. Follow it up with Siphon Bullets and Crippling Headshot, and Dynamo will be ready to take on any enemy hero inDeadlock. Once you have these three items, you’re able to get Pristine Emblem and Intensifying Magazine to further boost your weapon damage. If you haven’t sold Close Quarters already, upgrade it to Point Blank.
Depending on what you picked up in the mid-game, you’ll also want to upgrade to Improved Bullet Armor or Improved Spirit Armor. Debuff Remover is a situational item that you can get if the enemy team has too many crowd-control abilities. Finally, upgrade your Mystic Burst to Improved Burst and Improved Cooldown to Superior Cooldown.
How To Play Dynamo Effectively In Deadlock
Playing Dynamo using the build we mentioned isn’t too complicated. Ideally, you’ll want to go to a lane with a partner. Focus on getting the last hits on Troopers for the early few levels until you unlock all three of your basic abilities. Dynamo isexcellent at poking enemy heroes from a distance. So make sure you get in a couple of shots at the enemy whenever you get the chance.
Once you unlock all your abilities and get a couple of your early items, you’ll be ready to try for kills. Use Quantum Entanglement to get in close or behind your enemy and use Kinetic Pulse to knock them up in the air. With alane partner like Bebopbacking you up, this combo is strong enough to kill any enemy hero in the early stage.
After unlocking your ultimate, you’ll want to group up with your team and start pushing down lanes and taking objectives.Dynamo is extremely strong in team fights. With a well-placed singularity, you’ll be able to win almost any fight with your team.
Singularity is a channeling spell that can be canceled with a Stun. Make sure your enemies can’t interrupt you when you’re casting it.
Your next big power spike comes when you reach the maximum level in Rejuvenating Aurora. At level 3, casting Rejuvenating Aurora no longer prevents weapon or ability usage. This is when Dynamo becomes a massive bully, sliding into the thick of the fightto trade hits with the enemy heroes. And when things turn too dicey, use Quantum Entanglement to get some distance between you and your enemy.
Whenever you’re engaging with an enemy hero, remember to use your Kinetic Pulse to knock them in the air. This will increase the weapon damage you deal to the target for 8 seconds. Combined with Headhunter, a few headshots will be enough to kill even a tanky hero like Abrams.
All things considered, Dynamo is a prettybeginner-friendly hero inDeadlock. His abilities are exceptionally good, regardless of whether you’re playing him as a core or a support.
