Behaviour Interactive announced via its official Twitter account that thethird-person shooterProject Thas been canceled following negative feedback during early-stage play testing. A spin-off game based onDead by Daylight,Project Twould have offered players a four-person co-op experience with unique gunplay mechanics, new enemies, and an entirely different environment than the familiar maps found in the popular asymmetricalhorror title. The original announcement forProject Twas met with mixed reactions to its massively different gameplay, and a brief playtest period in July noted mostly negative responses. As stated in the official announcement, “unsatisfactory overall results” from this testing influenced Behaviour’s decision to cancel the spin-off title “with a heavy heart.”
