Dead by Daylightrecently released their September Developer Update outlining all the upcoming changes hitting the game’s public test build for patch 8.3.0. TheDead by Daylightpatch features a long list of tweaks to several perks alongside some major updates to game mechanics and a select few killers inDead by Daylight.

AfterDead by Daylightpushed out some successful changes to some killersand perks last month, it is time once again for another patch to hit the testing servers. These major updates in patch 8.3.0 are currently hitting the public test build for a trial run before they are passed on to the live servers of the game. This gives players a chance to try out the proposed changes and how they will ultimately alter the game before the patch is fully released. Alongside this, the developers ofDead by Daylightcan monitor the impact of these updates and make changes as needed prior to the full release later this month.

Posted in theSeptember Developer Update onDead by Daylight’s Reddit page, the next updates coming to the game have been revealed and are playable on the public test build currently. Patch 8.3.0 brings a massive amount of changes to the game, including several updates to the killers The Skull Merchant, The Hillbilly, The Twins, and The Unknown.The Skull Merchant is seeing the biggest changeout of all the killers, having a few reworks to her drones and adjustments to the hindered and haste status effects given when scanning.

Alongside sizable killer adjustments, the mori system inDead by Daylightis also getting a major update. Killers will now be able to mori the final survivor in a match without burning an offering. Objects that are in the way of a mori when the animation plays will now fade out, so the gruesome kills can be seen without anything blocking the view. Finally, memento moris will now reward killers with a huge number of blood points when they mori the final survivor.

Finally, a lot of killer andsurvivor perks inDead by Daylightare seeinga wide range of changes. Most notably, the Teamwork survivor perks are getting a slight rework in their abilities while also losing their cooldowns. Alongside that, meta perks such as Distortion and Dead Man’s Switch are receiving slight nerfs to adjust their strength.

These changes toDead by Daylightare now available on the PTB for players to test out prior to their release to the live servers. In the meantime, players can try out thepopular game mode modifier thatDead by Daylighthas re-released, Lights Out, alongside enjoying the recently addedCastlevaniacollection.
