Dead by Daylightmade some characters more affordable by offering a huge price change. At the moment, there are currently 44 Survivors and 37 Killers available inDead by Daylight. While the base game already offers a diverse roster to use, the choices and perks selection has become so large that having access to more characters really changes the dynamics of the game.
A few ofDead by Daylight’s best perks are locked behind certain characters, and that is why it’s still essential to be able to access them. In fact, many of those that utilize new mechanics are only available if certain Survivors and Killers are purchased. SomeDead by Daylightperk typessuch as Hex, Boon, Scourge Hook, and Teamwork can only be unlocked by buying them, either from the Shrine of Secrets or by getting the character associated with it. However, the game is making changes regarding the availability of some characters to give players more options.
According to a tweet byDead by Daylight, eight original characters will have reduced prices in the store.Dead by Daylight’s The Hag, The Clown, Feng Min, and Kate Denson, are just some of the noteworthy names on the list whose prices have been adjusted. They will all be available for 125 Auric Cells each instead of 250 Auric Cells. The in-game currency price has also been adjusted, and each of the characters can also be bought for 2,250 Iridescent Shards. In addition, the Maddening Darkness DLC pack’s price, which includes eight characters plus bundled cosmetics, will be on sale for $9.99 only.
Out of the Survivors mentioned, Kate Denson, Adam Francis, and Feng Min are said to be essential characters to have, as they each own what many consider asDead by Daylight’s top perks. Denson’s Windows of Opportunity, Francis' Deliverance, and Min’s Lithe are part of many players' builds. Some would even go as far as to say that any of the three perks mentioned are used by those in queues.
From the Killer side, The Doctor, The Hag, and The Clown have perks that are highly useful as well. Not to mention, many players believeDead by Daylight’s The Spiritis an S-Tier character. The Hag offers useful Hex perks to control progress. The Clown’s Pop The Weasel helps reduce Survivors' generator progress. Meanwhile, The Doctor’s Overcharge makes it difficult for players to hit one skill check.
Overall, while many of the characters offered are somewhat on the older side, they still contribute a lot to builds being done by regular players. With a reduced price, it could help new players get accustomed to the flexibility of mixing up perks and discovering a play style that fits theirs.
