The official X (formerly known as Twitter) account of theDandadananime released three commercials and brand-new key visual ahead of the series' premiere this Fall. The commercials give us a very quick taste of three different main aspects of the visual experience of theDandadananime, which are battles, the occult and romance.
Produced by Science SARU (Scott Pilgrim Takes Off), theupcoming anime adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu’s hit mangalooks quite appealing based on what we’ve seen so far, and the anime community will be counting the days until the airing of the series' first episode on October 4.

What We Know About the Upcoming Dandadan Anime
Yukinobu Tatsu’sDandadanhas been serialized in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ digital magazine since April 2021, with its chapters collected into 15 volumes so far. The series follows Momo Ayase, a high school student who believes in ghosts but not aliens, while her withdrawn otaku classmate, Ken Takakura, believes in aliens but not ghosts; at least not until the two made a bet to separately visit places that are believed to be hotspots of the supernatural and the occult. Momo is abducted by aliens and has her chakras unlocked,unleashing latent psychic abilities, while Ken is possessed by a spirit that takes over his body, giving him access to immense power. Together, Momo and Ken engage in battles against entities that they once thought to be a figment of our collective imagination.
TheDandadananime will be directed by Fūga Yamashiro (assistant director,Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!), with Hiroshi Seko supervising and writing the scripts and character designs by Naoyuki Onda (character designs,Berserk: The Golden Age Arc - Memorial Edition) yokai designs by Yoshimichi Kameda (character designs,Mob Psycho 100) and art direction by Junichi Higashi (art director,Cowboy Bebop) Kensuke Ushio (music,CHAINSAW MAN) is responsible for the score. The opening will be “Otokone” performed by Creepy Nuts, and ZUTOMAYO perform the ending theme song “TAIDADA”.
