For DestinyFashion Reddit community member Chobwokk, that “exotic” inspiration comes from one of thebestDestiny 2Exotic hand cannons, Malfeasance. They created a costume for a Titan Guardian inspired by the Red String of Fate, one of the available cosmetic variants of the Malfeasance.
Destiny 2 Titan Costume Draws on the Malfeasance Exotic Weapon for Inspiration
Though the standard appearance of theMalfeasance Exotic hand cannonis strongly inspired by the character of the Drifter and the Taken enemy faction, its Red String of Fate draws a visual connection to Gambit, the Drifter’s signatureDestiny 2activity. Chobwokk’s customized Titan costume adopts the jade-and-copper look of the Red String of Fate, accenting it with red highlights. The silhouette of the costume is sharp and angular, using the raid-specific Helm of the Taken King, Descending Echo Gauntlets, and the Exotic Abeyant Leap legs. The legs, arms, and head are also given a stone-like texture by the Gambit Nephrite shader, matching the hand cannon’s jade coloration and giving the Titan the appearance of being clad in armor made of gemstone material.
For the other visual aspects of Malfeasance’s Red String of Fate ornament, the costume incorporates the Resonant Fury Plate chest piece and the long, dangling Finalla’s Iron Mark class item. The Horizon Blush shader on the chest adds metallic copper coloration to the chest, while the Crucible Alizarin shader dyes the Titan mark in red, providing the titular “red string” between it and the chest piece’s red accents.
