With the current gameplay system inClash Royale, players choose 8 cards and get access to only 4 of them at any given time, preventing them from spamming a certain card repeatedly. However, the new event removes this balancing feature to raise chaos on the battlefield, and it’s successful!
4 Card Showdown, as the name implies, forces players to build decks with only 4 slots available, and every card that the player uses instantly returns to their hand, allowing them to spam units as many times as they want. This creates a massive challenge and adds a lot of creativity to the battlefield.
Best Decks For 4 Card Showdown
Since only 4 cards are allowed, there will be no evolution slots available in this event. It is important to have units in yourdeckthat can deal with spams and aerial units as well as tanky troops like Pekka or Mega Knight. Maintaining a balance between troops is much harder in this event as you are low on available slots.
Battle Healer Deck
Battle Healer canheal herself and alliesaround her after hitting an enemy or an opposing structure. Now, if you manage to group a bunch of Battle Healers together, the healing rate will increase significantly up to a point that only aerial units can stop them from pushing forwards.
To cover that vulnerability,Mega Minion and Arrowscan be quite helpful, especially knowing that the opponent cannot phase out your Mega Minion with Arrows. The Log will also help you counter possible spam.
Mother Witch Deck
Mother Witch is the best counter against spam units to ever exist. Not only can she kill the spam troops, but alsoshe turns them into Hogsthat target the opponent’s tower. Combining Mother Witch with a semi-tanky unit like Valkyrie creates a great duo, even against powerful aerial attackers like Inferno Dragon.
Elixir Collector is also an important part of this deck.Deploy the collector as soon as the match begins, but don’t push yourself to spam it. The aim is to have two Elixir Collectors working at any given time. So, you can add them periodically when one Elixir Collector is about to collapse.
Lumberjack Deck
If Mother Witch is best against spams,Inferno Dragon is the greatest unit against tanky troopslike Mega Knight, Pekka, or any variants of Giant. However, Inferno Dragon is a bit slow and you will need a fast attacker to accompany it. That’s why Lumberjack takes the most important spot on this deck.
Tombstone is great for distracting opponentsand stopping rushers likeHog Rider, and Zap can help you deal with spam.
X-Bow Deck
This is the only deck that relies on a defensive approach on the list. The aim is to spawn X-Bow on your side and thendefend it by spamming Spirits and Spear Goblins. Unlike what you may think, Spirits are quite powerful in this event, especially if you use Ice and Fire Spirit consecutively so that Ice Spirit freezes the enemy for a brief time and Fire Spirit damages it while it is frozen. And then you rinse and repeat this, while X-Bow is doing its job.
Spear Goblins can also be used to put extra pressure on the enemy troops and deal damage to them from a distance.
