Summary
Since its release in December 2023, Hero Equipment has been a highly impactful and much debated addition toClash of Clans. The update introduced a new building, the blacksmith, where equipment can be upgraded using three types of ore: shiny (blue), glowy (purple) and starry (gold). Furthermore, there are two rarities of equipment: Common and Epic. Common maxes out at level 18, while Epic can reach level 27.
With each Hero only having two equipment slots available, choosing the right equipment to pair together is crucial. Additionally, ores aren’t as easy to acquire asother resourcessince they cannot be raided from other villages. With Hero Equipment balance changes coming, it has never been more important for players to know which equipment they should invest their hard-earned ore in. When it comes to the Archer Queen, here are the best picks.
6Archer Puppet
Summons A Gang Of Archers
As one of two pieces equipment that the Queen starts with, theArcher Puppetsummons a group of Archers that are good atswarming and overwhelming single-target defenses. They deal good damage in groups and provide protection to the Archer Queen by distracting defenses away from her. However, against splash defenses, such as Wizard Towers and Scattershots or multi-target Inferno Towers, they are quickly defeated.
Because of this, the equipment is getting a buff that makes the summoned Archersinvisible for 6.5 seconds. This increases their survival rate and damage output, but it reduces the protection they give to the Queen. Plus, itdoesn’t stop traps, such as bombs, from being set off by the Queen, which will still kill the invisible Archers. Overall, the Archer Puppet is decent when other options aren’t available, buthas limited uses and is much weaker than other equipment options.
5Giant Arrow
Shoots A Giant Piercing Arrow That Crosses The Entire Village
Unlike the Archer Queen’s other equipment choices, theGiant Arrowis best used immediately after deploying the Queen to maximize itsdestructive capabilities. The key to this islining up the Queen with key defenses that players want to soften up or destroy. Due to the Giant Arrow’s fairly low damage, it often won’t destroy buildings, particularly defenses. When paired with Earthquake or Lightning Spells, it can; however, this takes skill, knowledge, and practice to master.
One defense it can destroy on its own are Air Sweepers, which can be effective in setting up for an air-based attack. The Giant Arrow can be a powerful equipment if used correctly to damage and destroy key defenses, but due to its niche use cases, other equipment options are more reliable.
4Healer Puppet
Summons A Flock Of Healers
TheHealer Puppet greatly increases the Archer Queen’s survivability by providing her with more hitpoints anda good amount of healing. It is a versatile equipment that can be used immediately to provide the Queen with Healers, or can be activated later when the Queen needs healing. Therefore, it can be paired with a range of other equipment depending on a player’s strategy. A popular strategy from Town Hall 9 and up is Queen Charge, which involves the Queen being paired with five Healers and some spells to clear out a portion of the base on her own. However, adding any more than five Healers to a Hero has no effect, so the Healer Puppet is rarely used in this strategy.
On the other hand, three Healers take up 42 army camp space, which frees up more space for other troops if players intend on using Healers in their army. Plus, the Healers can heal other troops in the area, adding more value if the Queen is defeated or at full health. The Healer Puppet is a strong option, but other equipment choices offer more damage output, which suits the Queen better in a Queen Charge or as a support unit.
3Magic Mirror
Summons Clones Of The Archer Queen
As the latest epic equipment added to the game, theMagic Mirrorhasn’t had much time for players to figure it out. As such, comparing it to the Queen’s other equipment choices is difficult. If players didn’t unlock it during the 12th-anniversary event, it will soon be available in the Trader for 1,500 gems, but is it worth it? The hitpoint buff and health recovery help to increase the Queen’s survivability, and the one second of invisibility means thatany defenses targeting her will instead target her clones, each of which has 3,216 health at maximum level. Additionally, they deal 765 damage per second, and last for up to a maximum of 30 seconds.
Therefore, this equipment can deal some serious damage if the Queen and her clones are protected by a tank.Otherwise, the clones can offer the Queen protection if she’s alone in a Queen Charge for example. This equipment that significantly better at higher levels, but as an epic equipment,it is expensive to upgrade. From level 18 onwards, the Magic Mirror summons two clones, which effectively doubles its power, so if players can afford to get it to level 18, it’s worth using. Overall, the Magic Mirror offers a good mixture of damage, healing and protection.
2Invisibility Vial
Turns The Queen Invisible And Gives Her Stronger Attacks
TheInvisibility Vialis the second equipment the Archer Queen starts with, and it’s a powerful one too. Not only does it increase the Queen’s survivability bymaking her invisiblefor 7.8 seconds, but it also increases her damage per shot by 1,740 for the duration. This helps her destroy high hitpoint buildings, such as the Town Hall, while invisible. However, players must be careful to activate the ability before the Queen’s health gets too low, otherwise she can be defeated before the invisibility can save her.
The Invisibility Vial works well in a Queen Charge and isparticularly powerful when the Queen is fighting against a single-target Inferno Tower or Monolith, both of which can do huge damage to a single-target. The Invisibility Vial is a great choice for any strategy, offering great damage and good survivability.
1Frozen Arrow
Icy Arrows Slow Down The Targets They Hit
TheFrozen Arrowis an epic equipment for the Archer Queen that is excellent when paired with any other piece of equipment. If players don’t have it unlocked, it ispurchasable for 1,500 gemsin the Trader. Being a passive ability, the Frozen Arrow is a permanent buff to the Archer Queen thatincreases her damage per second and applies a slow effect to targets she hits for three seconds, which greatly decreases their speed and damage output. It is particularly effective against key defenses such as Inferno Towers, Scattershots, X-Bows and the Monolith, as well as defending Heroes and Clan Castle Troops.
The Frozen Arrow’s slowdown effect is useful in any strategy, including a Queen Charge. However, it can only impact the target that the Queen is attacking, so when coming up against several defenses at one time, she can be overwhelmed and defeated. As the best equipment for the Queen, it is receiving a nerf, which will decrease its slow effect from 75% to 65%. This change makes the Frozen Arrow slightly weaker, but it is still the most versatile and powerful option available for the Queen.
