However, your experience may not be entirely smooth. Some technical issues exist, such as thelack of ultrawide support, which is expected to be added later, and a narrow field of view (FOV), which feels more restricted due to the large size of the Space Marine characters. So, is there a way to adjust the FOV in the game? If so, how? The guide below answers these questions.
Is There an FOV Slider in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2?
If you’vescoured the graphics settings menuand couldn’t find an FOV slider, then your hunch is correct.Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2currently lacks an in-game FOV slider, which is unfortunate given that the default FOV is too narrow and can cause discomfort for many players.
Not all hope is lost though. Thankfully,there is a way to adjust the FOV of the game by using a third-party mod. However, it’s important to proceed with caution here.
The mod has only been tested in Campaign mode.Do NOT use it when playing Operations or Eternal War, as the game employs EasyAntiCheat, which could lead to a ban since altering FOV would be considered unfair to other players.
How to Change FOV in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
To change the FOV inWarhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2using a mod, start by downloading the FOV changer developed by Deodus from NexusMods. The mod offers two options: FOV 90 and FOV 102. Select the one you prefer, or try both to see which works best for you.
Testing was conducted with version 0.4 of the FOV102 mod. This version may encounter some technical issues during Finishers or Gun Strikes. If a newer version is available, consider use that one instead.

Now, launch the game. The FOV increase may not be immediately noticeable to the untrained eye in the Battle Barge, sostart a campaign missionto fully appreciate the difference. If you’re unsatisfied with your chosen FOV, try the other option.
How to Remove the FOV Mod in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
If you decide to revert back to the default FOV orneed to switch to multiplayer modes, it’s important to remove the mod files to avoid any issues. Deleting the mod is simple, and it ensures you can play onlinewithout the risk of being banned due to EasyAntiCheat. Follow these steps to safely remove the mod:
Once these steps are completed, the game will automatically return to its default FOV settings. Now you can enjoy multiplayer modes, like Operations or Eternal War, without the worry of accidentally triggering anti-cheat measures.
Given the narrow FOV, it’s likely that the developer will introduce an official FOV slider in a future patch. However, as of now, there’s been no confirmation from the developers regarding this feature.
