Summary
A new update for theCall of Duty: Black Ops 6multiplayer beta has gone live.Call of Duty: Black Ops 6is currently enjoying the second weekend of its beta test period. The first weekend was restricted to those who either pre-ordered the game or signed up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, while Week 2 is available to everyone on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
One of the main reasons why a company hosts beta tests is to gather data and valuable feedback that can be used to improve the experience for launch. Treyarch has already taken the fan feedback from the first week of theBlack Ops 6beta into account, making some important changes at the start of Week 2, likenerfing the overpowered Jackal weapon. Now yet another update has been released for theBlack Ops 6beta that makes even more changes to the game.
After downloading theBlack Ops 6September 7 beta update,Call of Dutyfans will find that the map Scud is now once again part of the Core Moshpit playlist. They will also find that the problem where Daily Challenges weren’t granting bonus XP has been fixed. Stability problems with theBlack Ops 6servers have also been addressed, plus fans can now enjoy Double Weapon XP in the game. Double Weapon XP should go a long way in helpingBlack Ops 6players level up weaponsand unlock new attachments as they play the second weekend of the game’s beta.
It’s possible Treyarch will issue more updates for theBlack Ops 6beta that fix further issues found by the community, but that remains to be seen. TheBlack Ops 6open beta endson Monday, September 9 at 10am PT, so there are only a couple of days left. But while the jury is still out on whether or not there will be more updates for theBlack Ops 6beta this weekend, it’s highly likely that data collected from this open beta weekend will be used to tweak the game ahead of its October 25 launch. Hopefully, it will all result in a smoother, better-all-around experience.
TheCall of Duty: Black Ops 6beta has earned mixed reactions from the community. The maps have earned criticism, and fans are split on new features likeBlack Ops 6’s omnimovement. That being said, there does seem to be more fans optimistic about this year’sCall of Dutythan usual, and it will be exciting to see how the final product turns out.
The final product will, of course, feature more than just the multiplayer mode. While multiplayer isCall of Duty’s bread and butter and that’s not changing withBlack Ops 6, the new game is also bringing a single-player campaign and Zombies to the table.Black Ops 6Zombieslooks especially promising. Fans will find out if it all lives up to the hype whenBlack Ops 6launches on October 25.
