It was initially thought thatBosch: Legacyand theRenee Ballard series would feature crossovers, but Bosch-verse creator,Michael Connellyrecently announced on hisInstagram pagethatBosch: Legacywould come to an end after season 3, and the Ballard series would be the main show moving forward,with Harry Bosch still appearing in a recurring role:
I’m happy to announce that the third season ofBosch: Legacywill premiere on Prime in March. I think it’s our best yet. It will also be the last season, bringing to a fitting close a 10 season run with this character, played so well by Titus Welliver.

It was a shock to hear thatBosch: Legacywas ending, but in many ways it makes perfect sense, as Michael Connelly’s recent books have featuredHarry Bosch and Renee Ballard as a joint partnershipin the cold case unit. If both series were to run alongside each other, it would complicate the television universe, as it tries to adapt the book series. This way, Titus Welliver can continue playing Harry Bosch in a recurring role, while seeking out other roles.
