Boruto: Two Blue Vortexcontinues with great intensity and it is clear for the fans to see that this story is picking up in terms of popularity among the fans as well. This is simply down to the fact thatBorutohas seen to the many complaints that fans were making over the years, and addressed them successfully. This story continues to get better with each passing chapter, and much of that is down to the incredible cast of characters that is being given attention to, and at the same time, a slightly different approach compared to the predecessor series.
When it comes to the old characters of theBorutoseries, fans know thatthe likes of Naruto and Sasukeare at the core of this new Boruto series as well. While Naruto and Sasuke have been cut out from the main plot for various reasons, importance in the story remains paramount. In fact, Naruto’s capture is one of the biggest driving forces for Boruto Uzumaki, while one of the main villains in the series right now, Hidari, is active because of Sasuke’s capture. Clearly, these characters will always be active in Boruto, and fans' love for them knows no bounds as well. Above all, fans want to see their beloved characters return in Boruto stronger than ever before, even though they’ve lost a significant portion of their powers. Interestingly enough, recently, in promotional material for Boruto, it was essentially confirmed that Sasuke Uchiha has now grown even stronger, despite not being involved in the ongoing arcs of the story.
How Sasuke Was Weakened In Boruto
Sasuke Uchiha is tremendously strong in the Boruto series. Although he started the series at the peak of his powers, with time, he took hit after hit and eventually, lost a significant portion of his powers. In the case of Sasuke, it was Momoshiki who stabbed his Rinnegan when he was least aware of it, and just as that happened, Sasuke was nerfed tremendously. Losing his Rinnegan meant that he no longer had access to the Six Paths Powers, and at the same time, he wasnow reliant solely on the Mangekyo Sharinganas well. The abilities that he could previously utilize and the powers he could tap into, such as the Six Paths Powers of the Rinnegan, were now gone. In other words, his strength reduced dramatically.

Clearly, fans weren’t happy with the treatment that he got, especially having him lose his eye after everything that he did to attain it. But, that certainly did not mean Sasuke would continue to remain weak for the remainder of the story. Fans know Sasuke to be an incredibly hard-working ninja, and someone like him would do whatever he could to make up for the deficit. He did just that, and fans now discover him to have grown even stronger after the 3-year timeskip. Now, it has essentially been confirmed that Sasuke has grown tremendously over the 3 years.
Sasuke Is Confirmed To Have Grown Stronger During The Boruto Timeskip
Sasuke Trained and Improved With Boruto
At the end of the first part of Boruto, Sasuke and Boruto Uzumaki left Konoha with the goal of getting stronger so that they could fulfill all their goals. Boruto wanted to bring his brother back to his senses, and at the same time, the Uzumaki family. Meanwhile, Sasuke also wanted to help bring back Naruto, and restore peace to the world, all the while dealing with the Otsutsuki. Of course, these goals were not easy to meet and required them to train relentlessly. Fans had already assumed that both Sasuke and Boruto returned stronger than ever before, given that they were both training and that it wasn’tsimply Boruto Uzumaki learning from Sasuke. But, there was never a proper confirmation for this.
Now, however, in promotional material for theBorutoseries, it has essentially been confirmed that both Sasuke and Boruto are training together, and as their trust in each other grew during these 3 years, so did their strength, both mentally and physically. This is a proper confirmation of the fact that Sasuke grew stronger after the timeskip. He was on an entirely different level, and he continues to grow even after the loss of his Rinnegan. Heresy official translation of what was stated in the card:
The disciple believed in the master’s words and will. While growing mentally and physically during their journey and training, both the master and the disciple began to trust each other, aiming to reach greater heights together.
Clearly, Sasuke has grown stronger over the years, and right now, he might just be much stronger than fans giving credit for. In fact, when compared to his former self,when he had the Rinnegan, Sasuke might not be all that far off, but some instances suggest that he might actually be even stronger in some ways. This might be confusing to some fans, but they only need to look at his fight against Code which happened during the timeskip. Now, Code, in his base form, will certainly be weaker than Jigen due to all his limiters. However, after he had his limiters removed, Code was actually above Jigen’s level, as was confirmed in the story.
Against this Code, Sasuke was seen fighting without even having his Rinnegan, and despite that, he got the upper hand in the battle and actually took one of his eyes as well. Code was left reeling, despite having an entire Army of claw Grimes with him. Sasuke went all out in this battle, and eventually, sacrificed himself to save Boruto’s life. At some point, these Claw Grimes got to him, and turned him into a tree. Of course, Code ended up winning this battle, but the damage he sustained was tremendous.
Comparing this toSasuke’s performance against Jigen, Fans know that he was not able to even land a single scratch on his body. Despite Jigen being an opponent that was weaker than Code without limiters, or, at the very least, on the same level, Sasuke clearly grew a lot. During this training, Sasuke found ways to make his body even stronger, and that truly is amazing. As to how he did it, fans do not know.
Is Sasuke Stronger Than Naruto Uzumaki Right Now?
Sasuke Uchiha Needs To Grow Even Further In Boruto
Clearly,Sasuke Uchiha is stronger than Naruto right now. While Naruto was already struggling after having lost Kurama and only having to rely on Sage Mode, Sasuke still had his EMS at his disposal. This meant that he couldn’t access powers such as Kurama Chakra Mode. Furthermore, especially while Naruto was sealed away in the world of Daikokuten.
Thishas given Sasuke a lead over Naruto Uzumaki, but, the difference in strength will certainly be matched once again. Later down the line, when Naruto Uzumaki does return to the story as things stand, however, Sasuke is now officially stronger.
