To celebrate the 5th anniversary ofBorderlands 3, both the game’s official Twitter account and Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford have tweetedoutBorderlandsShift Codesthat players can redeem for in-game rewards. The first code is exclusive toBorderlands 3, giving players 5 Golden Keys and 5 Diamond Keys which, when redeemed, offers players the chance to get a bunch of awesome loot. Pitchford’s code gives just three Golden Keys. However, this is for several games in the series, includingBorderlands 1,The Pre-Sequel,2,3, andTiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

Players looking to use these Shift Codes need to act fast. TheBorderlands 3code will expire on October 13, although Pitchford’s code for theentireBorderlandsseriesis a little more pressing. That code expires on September 19, giving gamers just a few days to redeem these Shift Codes. This can be done either in-game or on the Shift website. Considering it’s totally free to do, anyone currently playing through the games should take advantage of this while they are still active.
Although the recentBorderlandsmovie adaptation was a disappointment both critically and commercially, there’s still a lot for fans of the series to be excited about. Back in August,Gearbox officially revealedBorderlands 4, which is set to launch in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. The new mainline title will take players beyond the world of Pandora, and can hopefully provide a palette cleanser for fans disappointed by the movie.
