Blue Exoristwill not appear in the November issue of Shueisha’s Jump SQ. magazine, and will instead resume in the December issue, slated to release on November 4. Prior to this, the manga was also missing from the magazine’s September issue.
The Blue Exorcist Manga Takes a Short Break
Kato was diagnosed with an illness in March after a routine check-up. This was followed by a recent surgery, and while it was successful, the author will need time to fully recover. Prior to the operation, Katohad been working on the serieswhile going to the hospital. Though she has not revealed what kind of illness it is, Kato assured fans that it’s not life-threatening.
TheBlue Exorcistmanga launched as part of Shueisha’s Jump Comics SQ.imprint in the Jump Square magazine in 2009. The series has amassed 31 collected volumes, with 29 having been translated to English so far. Viz Media publishes the series in English and describes it as;

An anime adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures aired from April to October 2011. The series was directed by Tensai Okamura (The Seven Deadly Sins, Soul Eater), with Ryota Yamaguchi (Kanon, Medabots) handling the script and Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill) composing the music for the series.
A sequel series,Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga, aired during the Winter 2017 season and was followed byBlue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga, which aired during the Winter 2024 season. Two new seasons,Beyond the Snow SagaandThe Blue Night Saga, are set to air during the Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 seasons.
