According to Camilo, “novelty and national pride” are factors that contributed toBlack Myth: Wukong’sstrong initial sales, but this will play less of a role once the DLC is close to releasing. The game’s challenging nature is also considered as a factor, since millions of casual gamers in China may not be interested in purchasing the DLC if they do not proceed further with theirBlack Myth: Wukongplaythrough.
