Apramana Batis one of the missable bosses inBlack Myth: Wukong, who players can fight during the third chapter. Defeating the boss is optional, but it has a journal entry and gives access toone of theSoaks, which, if missed, cannot be acquired throughout the rest of the playthrough. This guide includes all the details on how to find Apramana Bat and strategies for defeating the boss.
How To Find Apramana Bat
After escaping from thePagoda Realmand going toTurtle Island, you willface Kang-Jin Star. After the boss fight, you will be accompanied byZhu Bajie, a small boar. Upon reaching theNorth Shore of the Bitter Lake, interact with the Keeper’s Shrine and head right toward the water. Follow along this path, going past the several snake carcasses and ignoring the flying enemies in the area.
At a distance, you can spot the face of the giant carcass skeleton, so head to it, and anAprmana Batwill fly down to this arena. After the cutscene ends, the boss fight begins.
How To Beat Apramana Bat
Apramana Bat is one of the more annoying bosses in the game because it stays in the air for most of the fight, barely giving you enough time to attack. It can perform several attacks whenever it leaps into the air, such asAir SlashesorAir Gush. Both of these attacks are projectiles. As it flies back and shoots the projectiles at you, these can easily dodged by rolling in any direction. One attack to look out for is theSpin Attack, which has an easy tell as it starts to turn its face away from you to rapidly spin and damage anything close to it.
When on the ground, apart from normal strike attacks, the Apramana Bat can sometimes turn its whole body into gold and go into a parry stance. Attacking the boss in this state allows it to negate any damage taken and counter with one of its attacks. The boss also uses itsIce Breath, which is a great time to get to the back of the boss and get multiple hits in.
Direct damage from the Ice Breath cancause the Chill Baneon you, leaving you frozen and incapacitated for a few seconds. You can mash the dodge button to escape the frozen state quickly.
Finally, the boss’s most frequently used attack is theBody Slamwhile high up in the air. You will need to time your dodge precisely, and upon doing so, it will allow you to roll into the boss and attack it before it leaps up in the air again.
What To Do After Defeating The Boss
After the boss is defeated, it will fly away, allowing you to interact with the head of the carcass in this area. Doing so will continue the quest for theTurtle Tear Soak.
