Additionally, he claimed that everything on the internet should not be taken as the final word. Pembertonwrote,“Don’t really ever want to weigh in on this sort of stuff BUT would you ever believe there could sometimes be stuff on the internet that might not always be particularly accurate? Hmmmm…“His response should be enough to make people understand Beyond the Spider-Verse is not scrapped.
Pemberton’s comments are similar to the response given by theSpider-Versewriter Christopher Miller. The producer also opened up about the rumors ofBeyond the Spider-Versegetting delayed, making it clear that the film has not been scrapped. Additionally, Miller indicated that reels are coming on “nicely.” Taking it to Twitter, Miller wrote, “Nothing has been scrapped. The reels are coming along nicely.The statements made by Miller should be taken as the final word because he is the one directly responsible for the films. Also, it would be shocking to see such a brilliant and successful franchise getting scrapped because of creative differences. Sony has been quite unlucky when it comes to superhero projects. ButSpider-Verseis one of those rare franchises that has performed exceptionally well for the studio giant.
The above-mentioned comments confirm that Sony and the filmmakers are dedicated to releasingBeyond the Spider-Versein theaters as soon as possible. Losing a highly anticipated film like this, which has the potential to be both a box office success and critically acclaimed, would be a huge mistake.
