The best Echo set for Youhu depends on whether players want to focus more on her healing abilities or tap into her sub-DPS potential. Given the high damage modifiers in certain parts of her kit,building her as a sub-DPS, similar to Sanhuawith5-piece Freezing Frost set, might be more worthwhile—especially since activating the 5-piece Rejuvenating Glow set bonus optimally while playing Youhu may not be as ideal. Nevertheless, even when equipped with the Freezing Frost set, she will still be able to heal, though the level of sustain will be slightly lower. This shouldn’t be a problem unless the team requires heavy sustain. That said, Youhu can still be built with theRejuvenating Glowset, and in this case, players canbuild her similarly to Verina, as Youhu’s healing also scales with ATK.
Since Youhu can be built differently depending on the desired role, players also have flexibility in choosing the main stats for Cost 4 and Cost 3 Echoes. Youhu can be built with a Crit Value and Glacio DMG focus, or alternatively, as a hybrid. ATK for Cost 3 Echoes is also a viable option, or players can consider Energy Regen. Being a 4-star character, Youhu doesn’t have a signature weapon, but fortunately, her best options are quite F2P-friendly. The top choice for Youhu isAbyss Surges, thanks to its ATK% secondary stat and a bonus that boosts her Energy Regen, while also increasing her Skill DMG and basic ATK DMG, both of which complement her kit.
Another good 4-star alternative isHollow Mirage, which provides an ATK% bonus and further increases her ATK and DEF after Resonance Liberation. Alternatively, players can opt for Energy Regen options likeGauntlets#21D or Marcato, both of which come with relatively useful passive effects.
Finally, for those focusing solely on DPS,Stonardor evenXiangli Yao’s signature,Verity’s Handle, can be viable options. These gauntlets have Crit Rate as a main stat, although the bonus of increasing Resonance Liberation DMG isn’t as impactful in Youhu’s kit.
How To Play Youhu In Wuthering Waves
Youhu’s kit is surprisingly one of the most intricate in Wuthering Waves, especially due to its RNG elements. Players must gather one of four types of Antiques through “Lucky Draw,” each of which provides different effects while dealing Glacio DMG. The Lucky Draw can be performed in various ways, including her Resonance Skill, Intro Skill, Heavy Attack, and Dodge Counter. The Antique obtained is random, but players can continue performing Lucky Draws until they get the Antique they prefer. After obtaining an Antique, players can perform a normal attack to lock it in place.
Youhu’s Resonance Liberation not only deals a solid amount of damage but also allows players to select an Antique of their choice, which helps them combine the same Antique four times for maximum benefit to her Resonance Forte. Her Resonance Forte requires Youhu to gather four Antiques, and depending on how many match, they provide different bonuses. Players should aim to match all four Antiques, as this will activate the effects from all possible combinations simultaneously. This means timing the use of normal attacks to lock the correct Antique is key to optimizing Youhu’s kit.
In terms of healing, Youhu can restore health in multiple ways. Primarily, this is done through her Resonance Skill, but also through Poetic Essence, which is activated once she has four Antiques. Additionally, having two pairs of Antiques for the Double Pun Auspice or having all four be the same will also trigger extra healing for all characters.
Youhu’s Outro Skill is also worth mentioning since, it can bequite helpful in teams that utilize characterswith Coordinated Attacks, such as Yinlin, Zhezhi, Yuanwu or Mortefi.
