8Vixy
Digs Up a Range of Different Items
First up isVixy, a unique Neutral Pal found almost exclusively in the Windswept Hills. Vixy is arguably one of the weakest Pals in the game but excels at gathering, especially when placed in a Ranch. When grazing at a Ranch, Vixy has the rather neat ability todig up a range of different items, making it one of the more unique Pals on this list.
The items that Vixy can dig up at the Ranchinclude Arrows,Pal Spheres, andGold Coins.While Arrows and Pal Spheres are fairly easy to craft, the addition of Gold Coins is a nice bonus, though Vixy isn’t known for providing a constant supply of the currency. However, if players are looking for an early-game source of Pal Spheres and Gold Coins, Vixy can be a solid choice as a Ranch Pal.
7Sootseer
Dark Pal Capable of Farming Bones
While Vixy may be a great starting Pal for the Ranch,Sootseeris a Pal that players may not encounter until later in their playthrough, as it is part ofthe roster of Pals inhabiting Sakurajima Island. Sootseer is a Dark/Fire Pal, and while it’s a great Kindler and even boasts mining abilities, its most desirable skill is itsability to dig upBoneswhen working inside the Ranch.
Bones are anessential crafting ingredient for a variety of MedicinesinPalworld, ranging from Medical Supplies for treating Fractures and Ulcers to High-Grade Medical Supplies for addressing weakened and depressed Pals. While players can reduce the risk of Pals suffering these ailments by improving working conditions at their base, some Pals will inevitably require treatment, making Sootseer an excellent Pal for acquiring one of the most sought-after resources for crafting medicine.
6Chikipi
Provides a Constant Supply of Food
Back to a starting Pal now withChikipi, a Neutral Pal that all players will encounter at the start of their journey. Chikipi may be one of the least desirable Pals in all ofPalworldfor combat, as it is often defeated by nearly any enemy a player faces. However, much like an actual chicken, Chikipi proves its worth with itsability to layEggswhen put to work at a Ranch.
Eggs are an excellent food sourceinPalworldwhen cooked in a Cooking Pot, both for the player and Pals alike. If players find themselves with a few Chikipis, they can set up an Egg farm at their base, providing an unlimited food source. Although players must manually task Pals with cooking the Eggs on-site to maximize their utility as food, Eggs are alsoa vital ingredient for crafting Cakes, which leads into the next entry.
5Mozzarina
An Excellent Source For Milk
Mozzarinais very similar to Chikipi in that, while fairly useless in battle, it becomes quite valuable when assigned to the Ranch. This is because Mozzarinaprovides a constant supply ofMilkwhen grazing at a Ranch, with Milk being a desirable resource for two specific purposes.
First, Milk can be consumed directly by both Pals and players, making itan excellent source of unlimited food.It can be stored in a player’s inventory or placed inside Feed Boxes for working Pals, allowing players to focus on other tasks while their Pals are fed automatically. Additionally, much like eggs, milk is avital ingredient for crafting Cakes, which again leads to the next entry.
4Beegarde
Provides a Constant Supply of Honey
Following Mozzarina isBeegarde, a Grass Pal who is not exactly the greatest fighter or worker when it comes toPalworld’sroster of Pals. However, throw a Beegarde into a Ranch, and it becomes one of the most useful Pals for farming a particular food source. When assigned to a Ranch,Beegarde will produceHoneyat a steady rate, not only allowing players to stock up on food for their working Pals, but also providinga vital ingredient to craft Cakes, completing the trio of Pals needed to get a hold of an automatic Cake farm.
Cakesare very important forbreeding specific Pals at the Breeding Farm, making Honey an essential ingredient for players looking to get their hands on powerful Pals. Beegardes also have a wide range of other skills, such as boasting a level 2 in Transporting, making them a good fit for transporting goods produced inside the Ranch to nearby chests for storage.

Two Pals With The Skill of Digging Up Gold
Next up are bothMauandMau Cryst, two separate Pals belonging to two different elements. However, with each Pal being closely related, it’s only natural that their skills overlap quite a bit, especially when working at the Ranch. From Dark and Ice Pals to the Ground element now withDumud, a Pal infamous for its perpetual procrastination. While Dumud may not excel in combat—aside from its ability to boostthe attack power of other Ground Pals—it proves to be incredibly useful when put to work at the Ranch. This is because Dumud occasionallyproducesHigh Quality Pal Oil, a vital resource for crafting a wide range of tools.
High Quality Pal Oil is anessential ingredient for crafting early-game weaponsinPalworld, including the Musket, Makeshift Handgun, and Handgun.
