Similar to every other MOBA game, farming inDeadlockis also an important role, especially knowing that it lets players make progress faster, buy better items, and become stronger as the match plays. Farming is a part of every hero and every player’s tasks no matter what their main role is.

Now, some heroes inDeadlockcome with weapons and abilities that make farming easier and faster. For those looking to dominate camps andearn Souls by killing minions and NPCs, it’s crucial to pick a hero that delivers abilities that help the player deal more damage while not exposing themselves much to the enemies.

8Grey Talon

Powerful Attacks But Low Movement Speed

Grey Talon might not sound like a good farmer, especially knowing how slowly he moves around and shoots arrows. However, none of these stop him from being a major threat to Camp NPCs. Grey Talon has the second-highestbullet damageafterLady Geist, which makes his shots quite deadly against NPCs. But if that is so, then why not choose Lady Geist over Grey Talon?

Well, Bullet Damage is not everything! Grey Talon has a slightly higher Fire Rate than Lady Geist, and he also has abilities that help him better with targeting the Camp NPCs, especially the Rain of Arrows (2) ability that makes it easier to hit more than one NPC at a time.

7Kelvin

Best Option For Farming With A Teammate

On his own,Kelvinmight not be the best option to go for farming, but with at least one teammate, he can help a lot. It is all about Kelvin’s Arctic Beam (3) ability that slows down the movement speed and fire rate of the enemies. This is quite effective against the Camp NPCs, as the amount of bullets they can shoot at the player when affected by Arctic Beam is reduced significantly.

Other than that, Kelvin also has a Frost Grenade (1), which is not as effective or powerful as Paradox’s Pulse Grenade, but it is still something worthy of use against one of the NPC targets, especially the opponent team’s moving candles.

6Paradox

Pulse Grenade Is Great For Farming

Paradoxdoes not get the love it deserves. She comes with a few complicated abilities, but they are all quite effective when used properly, and when it comes to farming, Paradox has a Pulse Grenade (1) that helps the player a lot with constantly multiple NPCs.

Paradox has a decent weapon with a good fire rate. More importantly, she can deploy a Time Wall (2) that delays the projectiles of enemies, including NPCs. So, the player can shoot from behind the wall at the camp NPCs while dodging all the incoming shots from the ugly, one-eyed demons.

5Vindicta

Best Option For Early-Game Farming

Starting the game with only 2 Stamina,Vindictamight not be everybody’s cup of tea, but she is indeed quite capable in hunting Souls. Vindicta has a pretty decent weapon that deals significant amount of damage with each bullet, and this can earn players some good Souls earlier in the game.

Vindicta’s Stake (1) and Crow Familiar (3) abilities also help her with dealing additional damage to Camp NPCs, though her health bar is little smaller than most heroes inDeadlock, which is why it’s best to start with smaller NPCs demons in the beginning.

4Yamato

Damage Camp NPCs And Take No Damage

Despite having a slow fire rate, Yamato is one of the few heroes that comes with two different basic attack types, and her secondary attack, which throws exploding bombs is incredibly good against Camp NPCs. The bullet velocity for the second attack type is quite low, and this allows Yamato to shoot the explosive and take cover before it hits the target.

Since the targets will only shoot Yamato after the hit, she has a stellar chance to barely get shot by NPCs. This secondary shooting is also useful against minions as it can hit multiple of them with a single shot. Moreover, Yamato’s Power Slash (1) and Crimson Slash (3) abilities can be for additional damage on NPCs.

3Seven

Lightning Ball Makes Farming Easy

The electrified gunman is one of the most popular heroes inDeadlock, and he comes with a mighty weapon as well as an eye-catching arsenal of abilities that are equally great against players and NPCs.Seven’s Power Surge (3) ability works best against minions and Camp NPCs as it has a chance of dealing shock damage to the primary target, and then the shock bounces off to the nearby enemies as well.

Furthermore, Seven’s Lightning Ball can incapacitate more than one minion or NPC, dealing significant shock damage over time. Thanks to his rapidly firing assault rifle, Seven is still good at draining the minions' health bar quickly even without abilities.

2Viscous

With Goo Ball, Nothing Can Stop Soul Farming

The lovely Goo-made hero has been deemed overpowered by the community sinceDeadlock’s public testing phase, but countering them in a match is a story for another. For now, suffice it to say that Viscous is as deadly to minions and NPCs as they are to other players.

The fact that Viscous can heal themselves mid-fight by taking a break inside a goo jelly is one of the reasons why they are quite strong. This is also helpful against farming Souls in camps.

However, the wild card of Viscous is their Goo Ball (4) ability which lets them move quickly toward any enemy and hit them to deal significant damage. This ability is insanely powerful against camp NPCs as the player can just drive the Goo Ball toward the NPCs and hit them more than a few times without taking much damage.

1McGinniss

Distract NPCs With Turret

McGinnisowns the best weapon against minions and NPCs, but that’s not the biggest reason why she is one of the best Soul farmers inDeadlock. Using her Mini Turret (1), McGinnis can distract the Camp NPCs and force them to focus their fire on the turret, while she can freely shoot at the demons without even being damaged.

The next best thing about McGinnis is the fact that she can heal herself while fighting with the NPCs by deploying Medicinal Spectre. It seems like McGinnis has been created with a big focus on farming Souls in-game, as every ability can be used successfully against minions and NPCs.
