Valkyrie Mind provides new ways for Freya to fight, and the fact that her abilities in the Valkyrie tree alreadymake her aggressive and worthy of standing with Kratos, it’s great to see a barrage of arrows that can help her stand out to stagger and stun her enemies.

Valkyrie Spirit allows Freya to be more independent in battle, and she can use her sword and Valkyrie wings to slash at enemies and even cut right through them. It’s an aggressive skill that unlocks further combat potential in Freya as a partner.

With Goddess Focus acquired, Freya’s abilities in the battlefield rival that of Kratos. Goddess Focus allows Freya to access more specialized attacks andabilities when it comes to using a bow, so further exploration of ranged attacks means she is useful in close-range and long-range equally.

Freya is Able to Parry and Charge Enemies
Building up from the Valkyrie Spirit skill, Goddess Aggression is the much-needed upgrade that will see Freya soar as the Valkyrie Queen. It’s a great skill to invest in early on thanks to the fact that shebecomes far more aggressive, which means Kratos needs to keep his eye on her even less as she parries enemies and charges into them ready for war more often.
The fact that Freya can now stun enemies is going to greatly benefit Kratos, as it will not only build up more damage, but it will continue the stun meter that will allow Kratos to finish the enemy off with brutality. Further investment into Valkyrie’s skill is always a good thing for its offense upgrades.
2Arrow Surplus
Freya’s Quiver is Updated to Include an Extra Runic Arrow
It’s always important to utilise the AI partners of Atreus and Freya in battle, as their arrow count can really help to stun enemies and build the runic meter that will allow for more damage. Yet, there is a limited arrow count before these marksmen need a recharge, so providing Freya with the Arrow Surplus skill means she can have an additional Runic Arrow to use in battle.
Having an additional Runic Arrow makes the fight simpler, as Freya can be used to shoot a volley at opponents without concern of reaching into an empty quiver. More arrows mean more damage, and that’s alwaysgoing to benefit Kratos, especially when attempting puzzles that utilize Runic Arrows.

Freya Encases Enemies in Vines to Hold Them Still
Entangled Grip is an essential skill to unlock for Freya, as it will really help keep enemies off of Kratos. With Freya’s Vanir Magic, she will be able to entangle weaker enemies into the grip of her vines, allowing Kratos a brief moment of respite so as to not be overwhelmed by an army of lesser foes. Alternatively, it can also be used to keep an enemy in place to lay down an attack.
