Larian Studios focused on making mods more compatible withBaldur’s Gate 3in Patch 7, but that wasn’t their only big release with the update. There are a ton of new evil endings you can trigger for Origin characters, Tav, and The Dark Urge that has launched many players into starting a brand-new playthrough.
You need to make some very specific choices inBaldur’s Gate 3to get these endings, and sometimes you need to be playing a specific character to get some of them. As a result, you may need to do a few playthroughs if you want to see them all. Some of the endings can also only become an option if you make certain choices throughout the game, so if you’re specifically looking to get them, you’re going to need to know what choices to make from the beginning.
This guide contains major spoilers for Baldur’s Gate 3.
All New Evil Endings for Tav In Baldur’s Gate 3
Playing as Tav, when you have conquered the Netherbrain in Act 3, you’ll have two main choices at first, depending on whether yousided with the Emperor or Orpheusin yourBaldur’s Gate 3playthrough.If you side with the Emperor, you can choose to let him rule the Netherbrain, and you’ll rule at his side as his right-hand.
You can attempt to kill him if you change your mind after siding with the Emperor, but just be aware that you will die if you try to do so.
You can also betray either Orpheus or the Emperor and take over the Netherbrain yourself, and this choice gives you some more options down the line. You can either choose to become a Mindflayer yourself — or pass a Constitution check to unlock multiple endings. Depending on how many tadpoles you consumed throughout your game, the check will be more difficult to pass. Once you’ve succeeded in the check, you’ll have four options:
Then, as mentioned, you can also skip the Constitution check entirely and succumb to Ceromorphosis. In this case, you will have all of Baldur’s Gate consume tadpoles and build a giant army of Mindflayers, all at your command.

Astarion’s Evil Ending
Astarion has come a long waysince the start of the game, and now is his time to decide the fate of those around him. While you’ll have the same set of options you would if you played as Tav, there is one special choice that gives a unique ending for the Vampire. You need to choose the"Infuse yourself with the power of the Absolute - become the ruler you were destined to be"dialogue option.
From here, Astarion will become the Sun King, and his vampire spawn will run amok in Baldur’s Gate, doing whatever they like.
Gale’s Evil Ending
Like Astarion, Gale will have the same options as Tav but with one unique dialogue choice that gives him his special evil ending. The option you need to choose to trigger this ending is"You destoyed one god. It’s time the rest of the heavens shared in the Absolute’s fate."
Gale with then tear open a portal to the Celestial Realm and command all of Baldur’s Gate to abandon their faith and take revenge upon the gods. It ends with Gale staring into the portal, knowing he has “work to do,” implying that he is going to rampage against the gods and kill them all.

Letting the fire completely consume her, Karlach will then open portals from Avernus and unleashes the full power of hell onto Baldur’s Gate. She will alsonot let her Infernal Engine stop her, as she rips it out of her own chest and throws it on the ground.
Lae’zel’s Evil Ending
Lae’zel forgoes her previous ambitions and turns to revenge in her unique evil ending, and to trigger it, you need to choose the"With this power, I shall conquer Tu’narath. Queen Vlaakith’s reign enters its final days,“dialogue option.
In this ending, Lae’zel will climb atop a red dragon and use her newfound power to command the Githyanki right to Vlaakith herself. As is true for her character, she still finds Mindflayers and their existence repulsive, but as long as they can be used as weapons against the Queen, she will keep them alive.
Shadowheart’s Evil Ending
God’s favorite princess is now quite angry with how much faith has controlled her life, and she is ready to forge a new path. Choose the"All my life, I’ve been caught between two warring goddesses. Time to plot a new course,“dialogue option to trigger her unique evil ending.
Shadowheart will then command the killing (and ripping apart) of Selune and Shar’s followers indiscriminately, raising a new church with countless followers in her name.
Wyll’s Evil Ending
Wyll has seen better days than his time under Mizora’s contract and his bidding to the people of Baldur’s Gate, and now it’s his turn to command the Sword Coast. Choose the"I shall rule like no other has before me, as the great unifier, wise leader, and final judge,“dialogue option to unlock his unique evil ending.
He takes control of Baldur’s Gate and turns everyone into Mindflayers that will do his bidding —including his own father. Wyll is the Supreme Ruler of Faerun now, and nothing can stop him.
