Astro Botplayers will gain access to Creamy Canyon after they’ve completedthe Sky Garden stage. Just like the area before it, this ice cream-themed planet is home to seven Bots and three Puzzle Pieces, although this time, there’s a Lost Galaxy Warp for players to track down as well.
Unlike in the previous course, most of the Creamy Canyon Bots are pretty well hidden, meaning thatAstro Botplayers will need to do a bit of poking around to find them all. Either that, or they can use this helpful guide, which has the locations of every Creamy Canyon collectible.
Creamy Canyon Bot #1
Players can find a cameo Bot based on Snake fromHideo Kojima’sMetal Gearseriesby punching the white ice cream tree near the beginning of the stage.
Creamy Canyon Puzzle Piece #1
To get the first Creamy Canyon Puzzle Piece, players will need to kill the snowman enemy near the beginning of the stage and then pull the cable out of the ground.
Creamy Canyon Bot #2
To the right of the starting area is a ledge that players can drop down onto. After dodging some falling icicles, they can find the stage’s second Bot building a snowman on the far side of the ledge.
Creamy Canyon Bot #3
The third Creamy Island bot is being carried around by a flying enemy, which players can reach by punching the nearby ladybug enemy and bouncing off its chest. This cameo Bot is based on Psycho Mantis: another iconic character fromtheMetal Geargames.
Creamy Canyon Puzzle Piece #2
Players can also use the aforementioned ladybug enemy to reach a nearby ledge with an ice sculpture of a seal on it, which is also where they’ll find the stage’s second Puzzle Piece.
Creamy Canyon Bot #4
In the next area, players will find a pig-like enemy that charges at them. If they bait it into crashing into the giant ice shard (or grab its tail and throw it at the shard), they’ll uncover a blue X on the ground. Performing a spinning punch here will open up a hole, at the bottom of which players will find another Bot in need of rescue.
Creamy Canyon Lost Galaxy Warp
Players are supposed to throw the aforementioned pig enemy at the wall of ice ahead of them to progress through the stage. However, if they turn around, they’ll find that it’s possible to throw the pig at the giant ice seal from earlier on. Doing so will uncover a blue X on the ground, which players can interact with by performing a spinning punch. This takes them to a brand-new area, where they can pull the cable on the bottom of the planet to activatethe Creamy Canyon Warp.
Creamy Canyon Bot #5
When players arrive in the area with the two ladybugs, they should notice a ledge that they can drop down onto to their right. Performing a spinning punch on the X here will take them to a secret area with two more ladybugs, which they can use to break the icicles and reach a cameo Bot based onGray Fox from theMetal Gearfranchise.
Creamy Canyon Bot #6
Once they’re back in the area with two ladybugs, players should punch one of them to the right and then bounce on it to get onto the nearby ledge. Here, they’ll find the sixth Creamy Canyon Bot trying to fend off a few enemies.
Creamy Canyon Puzzle Piece #3
Above the area with the two ladybugs, players will see a white bird carrying around the third and final Creamy Canyon Puzzle Piece. They can either bounce off of one of the ladybugs to reach it or jump from one of the nearby ledges.
Creamy Canyon Bot #7
The final Creamy Canyon Bot can be found to the left of a blue bounce pad after players have taken care of the giant ladybug near the end of the stage.
