LEGO eventually delved into non-tech Nintendo products, such as the Bowser and NES sets, but have been aimed squarely at those interested in big-ticket display items.
Three New Animal Crossing LEGO Sets Are Confirmed For 2025
This was changed not only withLEGO’s new Zelda set(which, though still priced high, is a playset with minifigures) but theAnimal Crossingline, which has so far focused entirely on regular sets aimed at LEGO’s core audience. Though based on the same circular plates introduced by LEGO’sMariosets, designed for modularity in course design,Animal Crossing’s sets focus on typical system builds without a digital gimmick.
Their smaller price tags, though still a tad inflated thanks to a myriad of new head molds and the Nintendo license fee, make for great offerings as sets for kids and fans of the IP. 3 new sets have been confirmed for 2025, with details and official pictures collected by fanmade database site Brickset.
Stargazing with Celeste (77053)
This cute set will feature the first LEGO incarnation ofAnimal Crossing’s Celeste characteras its one-and-only minifigure. It will retail for $9.99 and contain 75 pieces, depicting the owl in her element—watching the stars through a telescope. Situated next to a cutout moon and tree, Celeste’s telescope resembles the one she has inNew Leaf. She also holds a constellation map, perhaps a reference to the mini-game inAnimal Crossing:Wild World(the title in which she first appeared).
Leif’s Caravan & Garden Shop (77054)
IntroducingAnimal Crossing’s Leifand Poppy to minifigure form, 77054 features exactly the caravan and garden shop referenced in its title. This is the exact mobile home and shop Leif is shown to have inNew Horizons, with the former able to open up like a dollhouse in its brick form. The set will contain 263 pieces and retail for $29.99. It’s notable here that Leif will use the movable short legs LEGO introduced a few years back, while Poppy will have the same classic-style immovable short legs.
Able Sisters Clothing Shop (77055)
The Able Sisters Clothing Shop is the biggest set of this wave, though there area coupleAnimal Crossingsets from this yearthat surpass it in size and price. Retailing for $39.99 and containing 322 pieces, the set depicts the Able Sisters' shop fromAnimal Crossing: New Horizons—albeit with some stylistic liberties. The set’s colors are generally more saturated here, and its door frame is curved rather than a rectangle with corners. Moreover, it lacks the text seen in the game, replacing the words ‘Able Sisters’ with a logo denoting the store’s tailoring services.
The set will also include two minifgures, although only one ofAnimal Crossing’s Able sisters, that being Mabel. The other minifigure is the rabbit villager Sasha, who is also present inNew Horizons. Interestingly, both Sable and Label have yet to appear in minifigure form, though there’s plenty of time in 2025 for them to appear in later waves. Given that LEGO is using the same plate system as found in theMarioline here, encouraging building a village by bringing sets together, an add-on in the future is certainly possible.
