Summary
AnAnimal Crossingfan was surprised to spot Gulliver in an odd place, having seemingly washed up in the middle of an aquarium. It’s apparently not the only sighting of the shipwreckedAnimal Crossingbird, as fans in the Netherlands, New Orleans, and Seattle all shared their own Gulliver sightings.
InAnimal Crossing, Gulliver is a sailor that can occasionally wash up on the player’s shore. When players wake him up, they have an opportunity to help the bird out doing things like collecting pieces of a broken communicator he needs in order to flag his shipmates down. Gulliver is both loved and hated byAnimal Crossingfans, as his repeated visits to the island can be a nuisance, but they can also end in some specialrareAnimal Crossingitems.
While players are accustomed tofinding Gulliver washed up at their islandsand towns, it’s a bit different seeing him in real life. Reddit user princess_unicorn_420 spotted Gulliver lying in his iconic passed out position in the middle of the Georgia Aquarium, clinging to a rock above a water enclosure. The player was amused to see him “shipwrecked” there, and took a photo to share. One player local to the area noted that he was collapsed in an enclosure just above where the gators are kept. However, numerous other players have now come forward with their own tales and photos of the bird washing up at other aquarium locations, too.
It turns out that Gulliver’s numerous sightings are due to acollaborationAnimal Crossingis having right now with aquariumsacross the US.
