The second half ofBlack Myth: Wukongbegins in the Webbed Hollow, a seemingly abandoned town inhabited by a wide assortment of Insect Guai. As the Destined One and Zhu Bajie continue to explore, they’ll descend into the dark caves beneath the town and into a vast nest, ruled over by the Violet Spider and her daughters.
While exploring the Webbed Hollow inBlack Myth: Wukong, you may uncover several new soaks to customize your drinks. With Seven Soaks to find across the entire chapter, players have their work cut out for them if they hope to track down every last one.
Goji Shoots
TheGoji Shootsare useful to anyone who makes regular use of the Ring of Fire spell. After taking a sip, the next Ring of Fire spell you cast will last longer. If you fully upgrade Ring of Fire, this can provide a ton of utility, especially by rapidly regenerating your focus.
To get the Goji Shoots, you’ll need to start at the Upper Hollow Shrine and turn around (facing away from the shrine.) From here you should be able to see a staircase leading up and to the left, which you should follow upward. Head past the building at the top and keep climbing up to reach a second set of stairs, leading to a building with a golden turtle-shaped box inside, which contains the Goji Shoots.
Purple-Veined Peach Pit
A fantastic soak to have in your pocket for boss fights, thePurple-Veined Peach Pitboosts the healing you receive when taking a sip, but only when you’re in critical health. In more practical terms, you’ll receive boosted healing whenever your health bar is flashing red.
To get this soak, start at The Verdure Bridge Shrine and head over the wooden bridge by the shrine, then turn left and look for a gate flanked by two stone lanterns. Head inside to find five treasure chests, containing an assortment of treasures which includes the Purple-Veined Peach Pit.Just beyond this room is the Elder Amourworm Boss Fight.
Deathstinger
TheDeathstinger (Consumable)is dropped by the Scorpion Prince lurking near The Verdure Bridge Shrine. To find this deadly foe you should start by crossing the wooden bridge by the shrine, then turn left and spot the path lit by a pair of lanterns, leading towards the gate flanked by two lanterns that leads to the Purple-Veined Peach Pit. Instead of going to the gate, walk until you’re next to the second lantern on the path (not the ones next to the gate) and look right to find a gap you may jump down. Hop down and follow the path to reach a village where the Scorpion Prince is patrolling.
The Deathstinger Soak applies a weak poison state to the Destined One. While useless on its own,this pairs incredibly with several pieces of equipment, such as the Spider Celestial Staff (which can inflict poison bane on enemies while its wielder is poisoned) and the Centipede Armor Set (which massively increases damage dealt while the wearer is poisoned.)
Bee Mountain Stone
TheBee Mountain Stoneis a potent but luck-dependent soak that gives you a chance to avoid consuming a use of the gourd each time you take a sip. This can potentially give you a lot more healing, though it’s also entirely possible for this to do absolutely nothing if you get unlucky.
You’ll need to reach the Mountain Trail Shrine in the Temple of Yellow Flowerssection of the chapter before you can collect the Bee Mountain Stone. From the shrine, head up the stairs and follow the path past a Flywheel Daoist and up another set of stairs. at the top of the stairs, make a left turn to find a small fenced area with a large tree in the center. The soak is in a golden turtle box here.
Fruit of Dao
Fruit of Daois a soak that extends the duration of your invincibility after dodging, for a short while after taking a sip. This soak must be farmed from Flywheel Daoists, like the ones found just past the Mountain Trail Shrine. You’ll have to keep fighting them until one drops the soak, which might take a little while if you’re unlucky.
Undying Vine
TheUndying Vineis a Soakthat can be farmed from the Lushleaf enemies in Chapter 4’s Secret Area: Purple Cloud Mountain.These are the enemies that resemble walking trees twisted into human shape, which can be found very easily by heading to the Petalfall Hamlet Shrine. From this shrine you can head right until you see a bridge above you. Left from here you’ll find the first Lushleaf, and you can then find a second by heading back, taking the left path, and looking in the bushes straight ahead.
The Undying Vine instantly recovers the Destined One’s Stamina and boosts Stamina recovery for a bit after you take a sip. This can be helpful if you find yourself running out of Stamina regularly.
Double-Combed Rooster Blood
TheDouble-Combed Rooster Bloodis the final Soak you’re able to find in Chapter 4 ofBlack Myth: Wukong,requiring you to kill the secret boss of Chapter 4: The Duskveil.This boss, heavily implied to be the corrupted remains of Maori Xingguan (Also Known as “Dawnstar Mao”, who takes the form of a Rooster and reverts the Scorpion Queen to her true form during the original Journey to the West), will drop the Double-Combed Rooster Blood on defeat, and can be found at the end of the Purple Cloud Mountain Area. If you kill him before fighting the Scorpionlord you will permanently miss the latter’s boss fight, so make sure you take him down first.
Double-Combed Rooster Blood will remove the poisoned state from the Destined One whenever they take a sip, and also increases their movement speed and critical hit chance. This makes it the perfect soak for dealing with any enemy that uses poison, which includes the final boss of Chapter 4.
