WhileWarhammer 40K: Space Marine 2tells the story of Ultramarine Titus, there are other stories to uncover if players have the patience and keen eye to spot them. Throughout the campaign and operations missions, there are recordings of soldiers who lost their lives at the hands of terrifying Tyranids or the corrupted super soldiers that make up the game’s Chaos forces.
There are a total of 35 dataslates for players to collect as the background stories of the events ofSpace Marine 2. If players are hoping tocomplete all the game’s achievements, then knowingthe location of all the dataslates inSpace Marine 2’sfirst mission, Skyfire, will get them off to a strong start.
All Skyfire Collectible Locations In Space Marine 2
As mentioned previously, there are 35 dataslates for Titus to collect across both the campaignand operations missions. In the first mission of the campaign, there are four to uncover. Here is the location of each collectible intel.
Dataslate #1
The first optional collectible inSpace Marine 2is surprisingly easy to miss, as it requires players tapping into their destructive side to uncover. You will find a plethora of red glowing plants throughout the Kadaku missions, which will explode when you shoot them. This is the key to the first dataslate in the game.
As players reach the jungle in the early stages of the mission, they will receive the objective “Make Your Way Through The Swamp”. At this point, you’ll come toa weapons supply cabinet, where you can swap your firearms if you wish. Once you’ve restocked, head under the arch created by the twisted tree, and continue along the path. Shortly after passing the arch, you’ll find a pair of glowing red plants. Shoot both spores to blow them up and clear the way, then proceed along the new path to find some other equippable weapons and the first dataslate.
Dataslate #2
WhileSpace Marine 2only has a small number of missions, they are quite lengthy, so don’t expect to encounter a dataslate at every turn. It will take a little while before you find the second one, but you know it is close by once you encountera swarm of Tyranidsover a broken bridge.
Once you reach the destroyed bridge, simply drop below to the ground and fight your way through the Tyranid minions in your way. From the ground level, there will be a path on the left to follow and work your way up to the other side of the bridge. Before proceeding any further, venture to the other end of the bridge, where you will find a ledge, and drop below. The dataslate is on the left side as you walk towards the small body of cloudy water.
Dataslate #3
Once again, you’ll have to complete a good chunkmore of the Skyfire missionbefore you reach the third dataslate. To acquire the third collectible, you will first need to reach the abandoned facility that is overrun with the bodies of fallen Tyranid soldiers. There is a weapons cache there, where you can resupply, then head up the stairs and interact with the panel to open the large doors.
Once through the doors, simply follow the path until you reach a point where you will turn right to a brightly-lit tunnel. Before heading in that direction, take the stairs to the left of the tunnel and grab the third dataslate. You won’t miss this one, it’s by the back wall at the top of the stairs next to a fallen Imperial soldierand a Combat Knife, which you’re able to equip if you choose.
Dataslate #4
The final dataslate is also very easy to miss, as many players will not encounter it if they continue straight for the mission’s next objective. Once you are tasked with reaching the targeting system, you will work your way though a number of sandbag barriers and into a building where the elevator is waiting for you. Don’t get on the elevator just yet, as the dataslate is in this room.
Before going up the elevator, venture to the right of the mechanism and round the path until you reach a dead end. Here you will find an Ammo Box,Plasma Pistol, and the final dataslate for the mission.
