Hero Talents are self-contained talent trees that unlock at level 71, with fullaccess to all nodes by level 80, inWorld of Warcraft: The War Within. Each Shaman Hero Talent taps into a distinct fantasy element of the class, empowering specializations and enriching the overall gameplay experience.

There are three Hero Talents available for Shamans: Farseer, Stormbringer, and Totemic. Each specialization has access to two of these Hero Talents, offering players two unique playstyles and aesthetics to choose from. Shaman Hero Talent: Farseer

Farseer Shamans tap into spiritual magic to summon the spirits of their ancestors, who aid them in battle.This Hero Talent is available for Elemental and Restoration specializations, with a focus on summoning Ancestors that cast spells alongside the Shaman.

Ancestors are primarily summoned through abilities likePrimordial Wave(Elemental),Undulation(Restoration),Unleash Life(Restoration), andNature’s Swiftness. Once on the field, Ancestors mimic the Shaman’s cast type, delivering single-target or AoE healing and damage. Players can either empower their Ancestors throughLatent Wisdom, increasing their strength, or summon them more frequently withAncient Fellowship.

Stormbringer in World of Warcraft The War Within

Farseer is a relatively passive Hero Talent, encouraging frequent use of key spells off cooldown to maximize Ancestor generation. It excels in single-target damage and healing, but it can struggle in AoE situations for both specializations. Additionally, its defensive and utility benefits are slightly on the weaker side.

[Elemental]Lava Burst casts have a 8% chance to call an Ancestor to your side for 6 sec.[Restoration]Riptide has a 15% chance to call an Ancestor to your side for 6 sec.

Elemental Reverb

Lava Burst gains an additional charge and deals 5% increased damage.[Restoration]Riptide gains an additional charge and heals for 5% more.

[Elemental]When an Ancestor is called, they reduce the cooldown of Fire Elemental and Storm Elemental by 5 sec.[Restoration]When an Ancestor is called, they reduce the cooldown of Riptide by 2 sec.

Primordial Capacity

[Elemental]Increases your maximum Maelstrom by 25.[Restoration]Increases your maximum mana by 5%. Tidal Waves can now stack up to 4 times.

Spiritwalker’s Momentum

Using spells with a cast time increases the duration of Spiritwalker’s Grace and Spiritwalker’s Aegis by 1 sec, up to a maximum of 4 sec.

Reduces the cooldown of Nature’s Guardian by 15 sec and causes it to heal for an additional 10% of your maximum health.

Earth Shield has an additional 3 charges andheals you for 25% more.

Maelstrom Supremacy

[Elemental]Increases the damage of Earth Shock, Elemental Blast, and Earthquake by 8% and the healing of Healing Surge by 8%.[Restoration]Increases the healing done by Healing Wave, Healing Surge, Wellspring, Downpour, and Chain Heal by 8%.

Final Calling

[Elemental]When an Ancestor expires, they cast Elemental Blast at a nearby enemy.[Restoration]When an Ancestor expires, they cast Hydrobubble on a nearby injured ally.[Hydrobubble]Surrounds your target in a protective water bubble for 10 sec. The shield absorbs the next X incoming damage, but the absorb amount decays fully over its duration.

Capstone Node

Ancestral Swiftness [Instant/30 sec cooldown]

Your next healing or damaging spell is instant, costs no mana, and deals 10% increased damage and healing. If you know Nature’s Swiftness, it is replaced by Ancestral Swiftness and causes Ancestral Swiftness to call an Ancestor to your side for 6 sec.

Shaman Hero Talent: Stormbringer

Enhancement and Elemental Shamansshare the Stormbringer Hero Talent, which focuses on harnessing the power of the storm to unleash a fierce Tempest on foes.

Stormbringer puts aheavy emphasis on resource management, particularly the generation and spending of Maelstrom Weapon stacks (Enhancement) and Maelstrom (Elemental). Spending a specific amount of these resources will replace Lightning Bolt with theTempestability, delivering powerful AoE damage instead. To fully optimize this Hero Talent, players must keep track of resource spending, as well as various buffs and procs, such asUnlimited Power,Rolling Thunder, andAwakening Storms.

Though it requires some ramp-up time, Stormbringer shines in large multi-target scenarios, making itparticularly effective for Mythic+. However, likeFarseer, its defensive and utility nodes are somewhat lacking, with only minor damage reduction fromNature’s Protection.

Tempest [2 sec cast]

[Enhancement]Every 40 Maelstrom Weapon stacks spent replaces your next Lightning Bolt with Tempest.[Elemental]Every 300 Maelstrom spent replaces your next Lightning Bolt with Tempest.[Tempest]Deal (310.5% of Spell power) Nature damage to your target, and ((310.5% of Spell power) * 65 / 100) Nature damage to other enemy targets within 8 yds of your target.

Unlimited Power

Spending[Enhancement: Maelstrom Weapon stacks / Elemental: Maelstrom]grants you 1% haste for 15 sec, stacking. Gaining a new stack does not refresh the duration.

Stormcaller

Increases the critical strike chance of your Nature damage spells by 5% and the critical strike damage of your Nature spells by 5%.

Shocking Grasp

Your Nature damage critical strikes reduce the target’s movement speed by 50% for 3 sec.

Supercharge

[Enhancement]Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning have a 35% chance to refund 3 Maelstrom Weapon stacks.[Elemental]Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning Elemental Overloads have a 50% chance to cause an additional Elemental Overload.

Rolling Thunder

[Enhancement]Tempest summons a Nature Feral Spirit for 15 sec.[Elemental]Gain one stack of Stormkeeper every 50 sec.

Crash Lightning, Chain Lightning, and Earthquake damage increased by 15%.

Conductive Energy

[Enhancement]Gain the effects of the Lightning Rod (Elemental) Talent.[Elemental]Lightning Rod targets now also take 20% of the damage that Tempest deals, and Tempest also applies the Lightning Rod effect.

Targets struck by your Tempest deal 10% less damage to you for 6 sec.

After using Tempest, your next Chain Heal or Healing Surge will be instant cast and consume no Mana.

Awakening Storms

Stormstrike (Enhancement), Lightning Bolt, and Chain Lightning have a chance to strike your target for (200% of Spell power) Nature damage. Every 3 times this occurs, your next Lightning Bolt is replaced by Tempest.

Shaman Hero Talent: Totemic

The Totemic Hero Talent is available for Restoration and Enhancement Shamans, focusing on enhancing their totems to boost both healing and damage output.

At the core of the Totemic playstyle is the newSurging Totem, which provides Healing Rain for Restoration and deals AoE damage for Enhancement. Staying near Surging Totem empowers the Shaman, granting additional effects throughWhirling Elements. Furthermore,Totemic Reboundallows Chain Heal (Restoration) and Stormstrike (Enhancement) to “bounce” off Surging Totem for additional healing and damage.

Totemic offers strong AoE healing and damage potential for both specializations, but it comes with more complexitycompared to the other Hero Talents. Restoration Shamans may face high mana consumption due to the heavy focus on Chain Heal, while Enhancement Shamans might find the increased number of buttons and the need for positioning around Surging Totem challenging.

Surging Totem [Instant/30 sec cooldown]

[Restoration]Summons a totem at the target location that maintains Healing Rain for 24 sec. Heals for 30% more than a normal Healing Rain.[Enhancement]Summons a totem at the target location that creates a Tremor immediately and every 6 sec for (115.115% of Attack power) Flamestrike damage. Damage reduced beyond 5 targets. Lasts 24 sec.

Totemic Rebound

[Restoration]Chain Heal now jumps to a nearby totem within 20 yards once it reaches its max targets, causing the totem to cast Chain Heal on an injured ally within 30 yards for (150% of Spell power). Jumps to 2 nearby targets within 20 yards.[Enhancement]Stormstrike has a chance to unleash a Surging Bolt at your Surging Totem, increasing the totem’s damage by 10%, and then redirecting the bolt to your target for (92% of Attack power) Nature damage. The damage bonus effect can stack.

[Choice Node] Amplification Core

[Choice Node] Oversurge

While Surging Totem is active, your damage and healing done is increased by 3%.

While Ascendance is active, Surging Totem is[Restoration: 150% / Enhancement: 60%]more effective.

Lively Totems

[Restoration]Your Healing Tide Totem, Healing Stream Totem, Cloudburst Totem, Mana Tide Totem, and Spirit Link Totem cast a free, instant Chain Heal at 100% effectiveness when you summon them.[Enhancement]Lava Lash has a chance to summon a Searing Totem to hurl Searing Bolts that deal (34.5% of Spell power)Fire damage to a nearby enemy. Lasts 8 sec.

[Choice Node] Oversized Totems

[Choice Node] Swift Recall

Increases the size and radius of your totems by 15%, and the health of your totems by 30%.

Successfully removing a harmful effect with Tremor Totem or Poison Cleansing Totem or controlling an enemy with Capacitor Totem or Earthgrab Totem reduces the cooldown of the totem used by 5 sec. Cannot occur more than once every 20 sec per totem.

Wind Barrier

If you have a totem active, your totem grants you a shield absorbing (Total health * 6 / 100) damage for 30 sec every 30 sec.

Reactivity

[Restoration]Your Healing Stream Totems now also heals a second ally at 50% effectiveness. Cloudburst Totem stores 25% additional healing.[Enhancement]Frost Shocks empowered by Hailstorm, Lava Lash, and Fire Nova cause your Searing totems to shoot a Searing Volley at up to 5 nearby enemies for (82.8% of Spell power) Fire damage.

Whirling Elements [Restoration]

Elemental motes orbit around your Surging Totem. Your abilities consume the motes for enhanced effects.[Water]Your next Healing Wave or Healing Surge also heals an ally inside of your Healing Rain at 100% effectiveness.[Air]The cast time of your next healing spell is reduced by 40%.[Earth]Your next Chain Heal applies Earthliving at 150% effectiveness to all targets hit.

Whirling Elements [Enhancement]
