The Steam release ofReturn to Moriawas a significant milestone for the game, expanding its reach to a wider audience of PC gamers. As part of the Steam launch offer, players can also purchaseThe Lord Of The Ring: Return to Moria SoundtrackDLC at a discounted price.
Return to MoriasupportsFamily Sharing on Steam, which means you can play the game using a friend’s Steam account, even if you don’t own it yourself. However, the owner’s account must not be actively playing any other game at the same time.
Return To Moria Crossplay For All Platforms
The Golden Update also introduced crossplay toReturn to Moria, allowing players to join the same game session,regardless of the platform they are using. To play with friends on different platforms, players simply need to share their join code (for Epic and Steam) or enable crossplay in their settings (for PS5 and Xbox).
The addedPlayer Management Screengives hosts more control over their multiplayer sessions. They can now kick players who are disrupting the game or behaving inappropriately. Plus, a new setting allows hosts tohide the Join Code by default, making it more secure and preventing unwanted players from joining.
Players hosting games from the Xbox Series S or Steam Deck may experience reduced performance due to hardware limitations.
How Many Players Can Play Return To Moria?
Even with crossplay added, the number of players in a game session is still limited based on the platform of the host.Epic and Steam players can host games with up to 8 players, while Xbox andPS5 playerscan host games with a maximum of 4 players.
