Dataslates inSpace Marine 2contain recordings that give a brief look into the behind-the-scenes goings-on in the game. They’re great for players who want to dive a little bit deeper into the game’s lore, but for everyone else, dataslates are here as collectibles for trophies and achievements.
There are over 30 dataslates in the game, and a good chunk of them are tucked inSpace Marine 2’sOperations mode. These are very easy to miss, especially if the squad is speedrunning missions. If you’re going for the Data Mining achievement, here are all the dataslates hidden in every Operations mission.
Space Marine 2: Inferno Dataslate Locations
You can find the first dataslate inSpace Marine 2’sInferno missionnear the beginning. As you clear at the Tyranids in the swamp, you’ll eventually come across an area with an Imperial Guard bunkernext to a burning pile of garbage. As soon as you see the fire,turn around, and you’ll noticeanother abandoned bunker. Head inside to find the dataslate on top of a stack of crates.
The second Operation Inferno dataslate is much further into the mission. After you reach the interior of the refinery, you’ll find yourself inan enormous hall with an elevator at the end. To your left is a set of stairs connected to a ramp. Follow this path, and hug the left side. You’ll find the dataslate on a table.
Space Marine 2: Decapitation Dataslate Locations
The first dataslate is near the beginning,inside the chapel. Fight your way to the top, but instead of heading to the rooftop,go through the open archway leading to the balconyoverlooking the chapel’s entrance. Turn left to find the dataslate near the large double doors.
As for the second dataslate,it’s in the ventilation shafts, which the squad reachesafter destroying the bridge. Once you see the Hive Tyrant walking behind two large fans, turn around and head straight forward. The dataslate is on a small cabinet tucked in a corner. If you’re lucky, you may even find one ofSpace Marine 2’sGene Seed containersthere.
Space Marine 2: Vox Liberatis Dataslate Locations
Players can find the first dataslate in the Vox Liberatis Missionafter they take the first elevator leading to the upper levels of the city. After stepping out of the elevator, continue forward and turn right. Go down the ramp, then turn left.Climb the first set of stairs, then turn left againto find the dataslate on a stack of crates.
The second dataslate is right after the segmentwhere the squad descends on a big, round elevator. Once the elevator stops, face the door leading to the final encounter and turn right to find a blocked-off set of stairs.The dataslate is on a box near a table on the side of the stairs.
Space Marine 2: Reliquary Dataslate Locations
In Reliquary, players canfind the first dataslate in the catacombs. After arriving in the main hall of the catacombs containing thelocked door and central terminal, go up the stairs to the left to find the dataslate at the far-left corner.
The next dataslate isinside the first gatehouse on the bridgewhere players encounter one ofSpace Marine 2’sHeldrakes. Once you enter the gatehouse, turn right, then right again. The dataslate is on a crate.
Space Marine 2: Fall Of Atreus Dataslate Locations
The first Fall of Atreus dataslate isin the underground chamber after the chapel encounter. Drop down the hole, then face the equipment drop pod. From there, circle around to the back of the chamber, then look for the statue in the image above. The dataslate is on the floor next to a corpse.
The second dataslate in this mission isin the large industrial area leading to the horde encounter with the Dreadnought. Follow the main mission path, and before you go up the final ramp leading to next encounter, turn left. The dataslate will be on top of some boxes in a corner.
Space Marine 2: Ballistic Engine Dataslate Locations
You can find the first dataslate inone of the interior rooms after the first sandstorm area. Once you get inside, go to the corridor on the right, then head inside the open room to find the dataslate lying on a table.
Next, make your way tothe transit station. Once the teamdrops down onto the main rail platform, immediately turn left. Keep following the left wall until you see an abandoned armored vehicle near the large mound of biomass. The dataslate is on a pair of crates.
