InHarry Potter: Quidditch Champions, players are able to take to the skies as different Quidditch teams in the various stages of Career Mode or in Exhibition Games. In the Hogwarts House Cup, they will play as one of the four iconic Hogwarts Houses, and if successful, players will then be able to represent Hogwarts, Durmstrang, or Beauxbatons in the Triwizard Schools Quidditch Cup.
Last of all is the highly esteemed Quidditch World Cup, with games taking place in a stadium similar to the one seen in theGoblet of Fire. There are 16 national Quidditch teams currently available, but fans oftheHarry Potterbooksmight be disappointed that the two finalists of the 1994 final, Bulgaria and Ireland, are not featured inQuidditch Champions.
The 16 National Teams In Quidditch Champions
There are currently only16 national teams inQuidditch Championsand all of them compete in the Quidditch World Cup tournament, which is unlocked last in the Campaign Mode. Here are the available teams:
There aremany notable absences on this list, and thousands of players around the world will be disappointed that they can’t represent their own country on the Quidditch pitch. Nevertheless, it is still an improvement on the 2003 game,Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup, which only features 9 national teams.
How To Unlock The National Teams In Quidditch Champions
Thankfully, players don’t have to unlock all 16 teams, one by one, as they are unlocked together. To do so,players will need to reach the Quidditch World Cup, which is the last tournament in the Campaign Mode.
This means they will first have to beat theWeasley Burrow Garden Cup, which is the easiest as it serves as a tutorial for the game. Next is the Hogwarts House Quidditch Cup, which players can win asGryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff. If victorious, they will then unlock theTriwizard Schools Quidditch Cup, and upon rising above two other wizarding schools, players will finallyunlock the national teamsinQuidditch Champions, as well as the chance to play in theQuidditch World Cup.
These tournaments can be won on the lowest difficulties for an easier and quicker way to unlock national teams.
For those who just want a single game with their favorite team, select theExhibition optionin the play menu, and change the top option from ‘Other Teams’ to ‘Country’. They can then cycle through the 16 national teams.
