There are 28 armor sets inGod of War Ragnarok, each of which has its own unique set of stats and perks. Players will unlock a handful of them as part of the main story, but most are obtained through some of the game’s many favors and itsNew Game Plus mode.
Those hoping to get their hands on all of the armor inGod of War Ragnarokwill therefore have to jump through a fair few hoops, although the rewards for doing so are well worth it. Between them, these sets can cater to just about every play style imaginable, particularly when paired with the right relic.
Unlock Method / Location
Survival Set
The Survival Set is Kratos' default armor set inGod of War Ragnarok.
Fortified Husk Set
Players can find the Fortified Husk Cuirass in the chest at Kratos' house aftertheir first encounter with Thor. They’ll be able to purchase the set’s arm guards and girdle from any workshop for 1,000 Hacksilver after completing The Quest for Tyr.
Vidar’s Set of Might
Players can find Vidar’s Pauldron of Might in the chest at Kratos' house after their first encounter with Thor. They’ll be able to purchase the set’s bracers and belt from any workshop for 1,000 Hacksilver after completingThe Quest for Tyr.
Risen Snow Set(Pre-Order Bonus)
Players can find the Risen Snow Set in the lost loot chest at any workshop after completing The Quest for Tyr.
Darkdale Set(Deluxe Edition Bonus)
Players can find the Darkdale Set in the lost loot chest at any workshop after completing The Quest for Tyr.
Nidavellir’s Finest Set
Players will receive the Nidavellir’s Finest Set as a reward for completing the In Service of Asgard favor, which is triggered by speaking with Raeb at the tavern in Svartalfheim Bay.
Enlightenment Set
Players can purchase the Enlightenment Set from any workshop for 6,400 Hacksilver after completingGroa’s Secret.
Raven Tears Set
Players can find the Raven Tears Set inside three of the Legendary Chests under the Raven Tree in Niflheim. The chest containing the Girdle of Raven Tears is unlocked after players have destroyed 6 ofOdin’s Ravens, while the Bracers and Cuirass of Raven Tears become available after destroying 12 and 18 ravens respectively.
Radiance Set
Players can find the Radiance Set inside three Legendary Chests in the Barrens area of Alfheim. They’ll find the Shoulder Straps of Radiance on their way back up to the surface during the Secrets of the Sand favor, which is triggered automatically after completing Groa’s Secret. The chest containing the Gauntlets of Radiance is in the fort to the north of The Barrens, while the Belt of Radiance can be found inside the chest in the giant skeleton over to the east.
Spiritual Set
Players can purchase the Spiritual Set from any workshop for 11,000 Hacksilver after reaching Freyr’s camp inChapter 6 ofGod of War Ragnarok.
Sol’s Set of Courage
Players can purchase Sol’s Set of Courage from any workshop for 11,000 Hacksilver after reaching Freyr’s camp in Chapter 6 ofGod of War Ragnarok.
Lunda’s Lost Set
Players can find the broken pieces of Lunda’s Lost Set in three Legendary Chests as part of The Mysterious Orb favor, which can be triggered by speaking with Lunda at Freyr’s camp. The Cuirass is in a cave in the Veiled Passage area, the bracers are in the sealed room in Noatun’s Garden, and the belt is in a room full of poisonous flowers at the Cliffside Ruins.
Guiding Light Set
Players can find the Guiding Light Set buried in the snow around the Lake of Nine as part ofthe Guiding Light favor, which can be triggered by digging up the first piece of the set and reading the nearby runes. The Gauntlets of Guiding Light are near Tyr’s left bracer, the Waist Guard of Guiding Light is near his right bracer, and the Breastplate of Guiding Light is near his helmet.
Giptumadr’s Set
Players can purchase Giptumadr’s Set from any workshop for 20,500 Hacksilver after beginningThe Word of Fate.
Mani’s Set of Wisdom
Players can purchase Mani’s Set of Wisdom from any workshop for 20,500 Hacksilver after beginning The Word of Fate.
Berserker Set
Players will receive the Berserker Set as part of the Fit for a King favor, which is triggered by interacting with any ofthe nine Berserker gravestones. They’ll get the Berserker Cuirass from the gravestone in Alfheim, the Berserker Gauntlets from the one in Niflheim, and the Berserker Waist Guard from the one in Midgard.
Steinbjorn Set
Players will be able to craft the Steinbjorn Set using Slumber Stones, which they can get by awakening and defeating the four stone Trolls. They’ll find one troll statue in the Derelict Outpost area of Midgard, one in the Forbidden Sands area of Alfheim, and two in the Noatun’s Garden area of Vanaheim. To get the Mystical Heirloom relic that’s needed to awaken the stone Trolls, players will need to usethe Draupnir Spearto destroy the block of ice with the golden cracks in it, which they’ll find to the south of the Lake of Nine.
Fallen Stars Set
Players will receive the Fallen Stars Set as a reward for throwing Crystalline Shards and Fragments intothe Wishing Well in Vanaheim.
Dragon Scaled Set
Players can craft the Dragon Scaled set using 2 Dragon Claws, 22 Dragon Teeth, and 34,000 Hacksilver after beginning the For Vanaheim! favor, which is triggered after rescuing Birgir from a dragon in the Vanaheim Crater. To fully upgrade the set, players will need to find and defeatevery drake, dreki, and dragon inGod of War Ragnarok.
Undying Pyres Set
Players will receive the Undying Pyres Set as a reward for completing three ofthe Muspelheim Trialsas part of the Crucible favor. They’ll get the Shoulder Guard of Undying Pyres for completing Trial 1, the Bracers of Undying Pyres for completing Trial 3, and the Girdle of Undying Pyres for completing Trial 5.
Hunter’s Set
Players will be able to craft the Hunter’s Set using four Hunter’s Brands (two for the pauldron, one for the gauntlets, and one for the belt), which they’ll get as part of the Nocturnal Predator andIn Plain Sightfavors, or for defeating the recurring Untamed Fury mini-boss.
Fate Breaker Set
Players will receive the Fate Breaker Set from Lunda at the beginning ofThe Realms at War.
Surtr’s Scorched Set
Players will receive Surtr’s Scorched Set as a reward for completing three ofthe Muspelheim Trialsas part of the Final Challenges favor. They’ll get Surtr’s Scorched Cuirass for completing Trial 1, Surtr’s Scorched Arm for completing Trial 3, and Surtr’s Scorched Girdle for completing Trial 4.
Black Bear Set
The Black Bear Set is Kratos' default armor set during a New Game Plus playthrough ofGod of War Ragnarok.
Spartan Set
Players can purchase the Spartan Set from any workshop for 58,000 Hacksilver after completing The Quest for Tyr during a New Game Plus playthrough.
Armor of Ares
Players can purchase the Armor of Ares from any workshop for 58,000 Hacksilver after completing The Quest for Tyr during a New Game Plus playthrough.
Armor of Zeus
Players can find the Gauntlets and War Belt of Zeus by completing the Remnants of Asgard in The Barrens (Alfheim) and Eastern Barri Woods (Vanaheim) during a New Game Plus playthrough. They’ll receive the Cuirass of Zeus as a reward fordefeating Gna, Queen of the Valkyries; again, during a New Game Plus run.
Spartan Set (Valhalla)
Players will receive the Spartan Set as a reward for completingthe final chapter of the Valhalla DLCand then speaking with Gunnr at The Shore. After doing so, they’ll be able to find the armor in the lost loot chest at any workshop.
