The Evoker Hero Talents further delve into the powers of the various dragonflights inThe War Within,adding depth and unique abilities to each specialization. Players can access Hero Talentsstarting at level 71, with the full tree being unlocked at level 80.
Chronowarden,Flameshaper, andScalecommanderare the three Hero Talents available for Evokers, with each themed after a different dragonflight. Here’s an overview of the three Evoker Hero Talents inWorld of Warcraft: The War Within.
Evoker Hero Talent: Chronowarden
By harnessing the magic of the Bronze dragonflight,Chronowarden Evokers excel at manipulating timeto significantly hasten their abilities. This Hero Talent is available to both Augmentation and Preservation Evokers, providing increased haste, cooldown reduction, and extended buff uptime.
While Chronowarden doesn’t revolve around a central abilitylike some other class Hero Talents, its nodes greatly enhance the familiar playstyles of both specializations. The haste and cooldown reduction fromTemporal Burst,Primacy, andInstability Matrixaccelerate rotations and increase buff and effect durations. Additionally,AfterimageandReverberationsfurther boost the damage and healing of core abilities for both Augmentation and Preservation.
Talents likeDouble-timeandGolden Opportunitygive Augmentation greater buff uptime while enhancing Preservation’s Echo playstyle. Chronowarden also offers excellent utility, with nodes likeMotes of Accelerationand an additional buff throughThreads of Fate. Finally, Hover becomes an even stronger mobility and defensive tool withWarpandTemporality, helping the class manage its shorter range.

Living Flame is enhanced with Bronze magic, repeating [Augmentation: 25% / Preservation: 15%] of the damage or healing you dealt to the target in the last 5 sec as Arcane, up to ((Spell power * 2.5) * (1 + Versatility)).

Warp
Hover now causes you to briefly warp out of existence and appear at your destination. Hover’s cooldown is also reduced by 5 sec. Hover continues to allow Evoker spells to be cast while moving.
Temporal Burst
Tip the Scales overloads you with temporal energy, increasing your haste, movement speed, and cooldown recovery rate by 30%, decreasing over 30 sec.
Reverberations
[Augmentation] Upheaval deals 50% additional damage over 8 sec. [Preservation] Spiritbloom heals for an additional 30% over 8 sec.

[Choice Node] Motes of Acceleration
Warp reduces damage taken by 20%, starting high and reducing over 3 sec.
Warp leaves a trail of Motes of Acceleration. Allies who come in contact with a mote gain 20% increased movement speed for 30 sec.
Threads of Fate
Casting an empower spell during Temporal Burst causes a nearby ally to gain a Thread of Fate for 10 sec, granting them a chance to echo their damage or healing spells, dealing 15% of the amount again.
Primacy
[Augmentation] For each damage over time effect from Upheavel, gain 3% haste, up to 9%. [Preservation] For each healing over time effect from Spiritbloom, gain 3% haste, up to 9%.

[Choice Node] Time Convergence
[Augmentation] Ebon Might and Prescience gain a chance equal to your critical strike chance to grant 50% additional stats. [Preservation] When Dream Breath or Fire Breath critically strike, their duration is extended by 2 sec, up to a maximum of 12 sec.
Non-defensive abilities with a 45 second or longer cooldown grant 5% Intellect for 15 sec. Essence spells extend the duration by 1 sec.

Casting Essence spells extends all your active Threads of Fate by 1 sec.
Each time you cast an empower spell, unstable time magic reduces its cooldown by up to 6 sec.
Golden Opportunity
[Augmentation] Prescience has a 20% chance to cause your next Prescience to last 100% longer. [Preservation] Casting Echo has a 20% chance to cause your next Echo to be 100% more effective.

Empower spells send up to 3 Chrono Flames to your targets.
Evoker Hero Talent: Flameshaper
Flameshaper is closely associated withAlexstrasza and her Red dragonflight, specializing in rejuvenating allies and unleashing powerful dragonflame. This Hero Talent is available for Devastation and Preservation Evokers.
The Flameshaper tree introduces a new active ability calledEngulf, which Evokers must carefully incorporate into their rotations alongside the capstone node,Consume Flame. Engulf deals damage based on the number of periodic effects on the target, while Consume Flame causes Engulf to detonate a portion of Fire Breath (Devastation) or Dream Breath (Preservation), damaging or healing nearby targets.
With the core loop of applying periodic effects and detonating them, Flameshaper Evokers can deliver strong bursts of damage and healing, especially withRed Hot, which grants an additional charge of Engulf. The tree also provides great mobility throughTrailblazerand includes a life-saving utility node withLifecinders.
Engulf [1 Charge/30 sec recharge]
Engulf your target in dragonflame, damaging them for (481% of Spell power) Fire or healing them for (425% of Spell power). For each of your periodic effects on the target, effectiveness is increased by 50%.

[Choice Node] Shape of Flame
Hover and Deep Breath [Preservation: and Dream Flight] travel 40% faster, and Hover travels 40% further.
Tail Swipe and Wing Buffet scorch enemies and blind them with ash, causing their next attack within 4 sec to miss.
Traveling Flame
Engulf increases the duration of Fire Breath [Preservation: or Dream Breath] by 8 sec and causes it to spread to a target within [Devastation: 25 yds / Preservation: 30 yds].
Enkindle
Essence abilities are enhanced with Flame, dealing 20% of healing or damage done as Fire over 8 sec.

Critical strike chance against targets [Devastation: above / Preservation: below] 50% health increased by 10%.
Burning Adrenaline
Engulf quickens your pulse, reducing the cast time of your next spell by 30%. Stacks up to 2 charges.

Casting Engulf reignites all active Enkindles, increasing their remaining damage or healing over time by 100%.
Fire Breath’s damage over time is increased by 20%. Dream Breath’s heal over time is increased by 20%.

Living Flame and Azure Strike have 1 extra chance to trigger Essence Burst when they critically strike.
Red Hot
Engulf gains 1 additional charge and deals 20% increased damage and healing.

Renewing Blaze also applies to your target or 1 nearby injured ally at 50% value.
Your wounds have a small chance to cauterize, healing you for 30% of damage taken. Occurs more often from attacks that deal high damage.
Consume Flame
Engulf consumes 4 sec of [Fire Breath/Dream Breath] from the target, detonating it and [damaging/healing] all nearby targets equal to 300% of the amount consumed, reduced beyond 5 targets.
Evoker Hero Talent: Scalecommander
Conjuring magic from the Black dragonflight, Scalecommanders lead the Dracythr on the battlefield with various empowered abilities. This Hero Talent is available for Augmentation and Devastation Evokers.
Scalecommander offers a straightforward yet visually impactful playstyle, highlighted by its keystone ability andBombardment. The keystone abilities,Mass Eruption(Augmentation) andMass Disintegrate(Devastation), mark the primary target, allowing attacks from both the Evoker and their allies to trigger aBombardment flyby from Dracthyr NPCs.
The talent tree also makes Breath of Eons (Augmentation) and Deep Breath (Devastation) more important to the rotation, with increased damage fromMelt Armorand cooldown reduction viaWingleader. Devastation Evokers can further amplify Deep Breath’s damage and frequency by picking up talents like Lay Waste and Onyx Legacy.
Scalecommander also offers strong defensive options, such asHardened Scales, which increases the effect of Obsidian Scales by 10%, andNimble Flyer, which transforms Hover into a defensive ability.
[Augmentation] Mass Eruption / [Devastation] Mass Disintegrate
Empower spells cause your next [Eruption/Disintegrate] to strike up to 3 targets. When striking less than 3 targets, [Eruption/Disintegrate] damage is increased by 15% for each missing target.
Black spells deal 20% increased damage.
Bombardments
[Mass Eruption/Mass Disintegrate] marks your primary target for destruction for the next 6 sec. You and your allies have a chance to trigger a Bombardment when attacking marked targets, dealing Volcanic damage split amongst all nearby enemies.
Onslaught
Entering combat grants a charge of Burnout, causing your next Living Flame to cast instantly.
Melt Armor
[Breath of Eons / Deep Breath] causes enemies to take 20% increased damage from Bombardments and Essence abilities for 12 sec.
Wingleader
Bombardments reduce the cooldown of [Breath of Eons/Deep Breath] by 1 sec for each target struck, up to 3 sec.
Unrelenting Siege
For each second you are in combat, Azure Strike, Living Flame, and [Eruption / Disintegrate] deal 1% increased damage, up to 15%.
[Choice Node]Menacing Presence
Obsidian Scales reduces damage taken by an additional 10%.
Knocking enemies up or backwards reduces their damage done to you by 15% for 8 sec.
[Choice Node] Nimble Flyer
[Choice Node] Slipstream
While Hovering, damage taken from area of effect attacks is reduced by 10%.
Maneuverability
[Breath of Eons / Deep Breath] can now be steered in your desired direction. In addition, [Breath of Eons / Deep Breath] burns targets for (600% of Spell power) Volcanic damage over 12 sec.
