Dawn’s Descent is the final campaign missionthat you may start, and is an incredibly lengthy one, so ensure you have plenty of time to see the story all the way through to its dramatic ending. In the first stage of the final mission, players will need to acquire four dataslates while battling hordes of Chaos Space Marines and their minions.

Dataslate #1

The first dataslate of the huge finalSpace Marine 2campaign mission can be easily missed, but also easily obtained, shortly after the objective “Advance to the Cathedral” appears. At this point, Titus and his comrades need to use their jump packs to move from one platform to another.

As players approach the large wall that they need to jump to the top of, they willencounter an ammo cacheon the left of the wall. Before jumping to the top, venture to the left of the cache and through the graveyard. There is a dataslate sitting there among the tombstones.

Dataslate #2

The second dataslate will be acquirable as players are instructed to “Advance to the Machanicus Facility”. As Titus ventures down to the burial site, players will encounter a fork in the road. The objective requires that you continue to the right, but going to the left is where you’ll find the dataslate.

Take the path to the left and follow it all the way to the end, where the road will dip and begin to go downhill. As you approach the end, you will seethe green glow of the dataslate, revealing its hidden location in the right corner of the stone walls.

Dataslate #3

The third dataslate is further along the mission, so players will first have to faceseveral waves of Chaos forcesand destroy a couple of altars blocking their way. Once players encounter the mirage of Imurah at the top of the stairs, where there is a large stone pillar on the right, this is where the next audio recording can be acquired.

Once at the top of the stairs, take a left, instead of continuing along the mission through the door on the right. There is a hidden path on the left past a pile of stone, so simply follow this and you will find the dataslate lying on an abandoned platform.

Dataslate #4

The final dataslate of the mission will come once playersdefeat more Chaos enemies, including a vision of Titus himself attacking them. Once the forcefield is opened and you walk towards a crashed ship, you will hear Gadriel say “Why in the name of Terra were these things not destroyed?”. At this point you’ll find the last audio recording.

Before turning left at the wreckage and continuing down the hill, turn right. Just to the right of the destroyed ship is a console and a dead Tech Priest. Next to the body is the dataslate.

While Dawn’s Descent is the last mission that you can start from the campaign menu, it’s not actually the final mission of the game. The closing stages of the narrative are a three-mission effort all combined into one. The final stage doesn’t have any dataslates, but the second-to-last one, titled Bellum Sempiternus, has another three to collect. Here’s where to find them.

In the continuation of the final mission, players will find the first dataslate in the early stages of this campaign chapter, when the objective “Seek Out the 2nd Company Position” pops up. As Titus and his comrades weave through the Cadian camp and listen to the insane ramblings of the soldiers, he’ll come to a drop from the platform into the ground below.

To progress through the mission, players will need to go straight. However, for the sake of the dataslate, take the left turn as you land on the ground, then turn right. Simply follow the path until you find a soldier sitting on the ground rocking back and forth, right next to a dataslate.

The next dataslate is found in the large open tomb that houses one large stone grave in the middle, which has red lights on it and is covered by a type of gazebo. This one will be easy to miss, as players have little need to explore the room to advance the mission.

To find the dataslate, simply venture to the other side of the room, past the tomb and up the stairs.A Guardian Relic can be foundon the right, and the dataslate is on the opposite side to the left.

The final dataslate of the campaign can be obtained shortly after the obelisk is turned, and the three squads are tasked with each rotating the final three relics. As the first squad turns theirs anddamages the Daemon Lord, players will be able to pass through a forcefield gate.

As you pass through the gate, you will notice a large pile of stone and rubble on the right side. Head toward this and keep going until you see an opening. The audio recording is found on the other side of the debris wall.
